About this mod

Lore-friendly version of Natterforme's wonderful Scarves of Skyrim with a few edits.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
This mod adds 51 HD scarves and mufflers of varying shapes and lengths into the game, some of which are distributed to NPCs automatically. They are also craftable, or you can use console to add the items into your inventory ( type help muffler or help scarf to get the IDs - use Page Up and Page Down to scroll ).

With permission from Natterforme, I have edited her Scarves of Skyrim  to be what I feel is more lore-friendly, or color-schematically more fitting for Skyrim. I removed the ones I felt looked too modern and did some new textures to the scarves to make use of the tassels etc. I also made almost all textures look slightly dirtier and more weathered ( the boa mufflers were pretty much unedited though ).
That said, this mod is NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE ORIGINAL SCARVES OF SKYRIM. Use one or the other.

Update 23.3.2015

Added another optional .esp which doesn't give any scarves to guards. Particularly useful for any Cloaks mod users as cloaks fit an uniform slightly better than a cozy scarf :)

How to Install and Uninstall

Use your Nexus Mod Manager, Skyrim Mod Organizer or whatever your preferred method is.

Else, manually extract the files into your Skyrim/Data folder.
To uninstall manually, remove the SoSFC-LF.esp, SoSFC-LF Readme.txt, Data/Meshes/Scarves! Skyrim Edition! folder, Data/Textures/Scarves! Skyrim Editon and Data/Textures/Tonas Oblivion Scarves folder.

About Optional Files:
Download the main file, and overwrite the .esp with one of the Optional files if you want.

Craftable Only - Use if you don't want to see the scarves randomly given to any NPCs.
No Guards - Use if you don't want to see the scarves on any Guard characters. Recommended if you use Cloaks of Skyrim.

Compatibility
Not compatible with Scarves of Skyrim. Other than that, there should be no issues. There is no internal support for Frostfall ( as in, the scarves do not have exposure protection such as they are ) but you can use it's W.E.A.R to manually add it yourself. I MAY look into making a Frostfall version some day, but I'll need to learn a lot more about modding before I'm able to do that.
Uses same slot as cloaks. No, I won't change it because I didn't like the way it looked. Feel free to change it yourself.

HELP! I want to haul million scarves with me and distribute them to different NPCs all by myself!!

While it is most likely irresponsible for me to enable other wandering fashion designers ( it's addictive ), NPC Clothes Changer and Maintainer allows you to manually add gear to NPCs. It's an old file, but it works most of the time.

Can you change this mod to do x and have y and go to b and look like a...

No. I don't know how. Feel free to look into creating a patch. Any changes I make to the mod come first and foremost because I want them. I'm happy the mod works as it is and I didn't break anything changing the textures.

Usage Rights
Check Scarves of Skyrim for rights.
I can only speak for the scarf textures in my version as I spent an ungodly amount of time messing around with them through trial and error and ended up remaking them entirely. As far as I'm concerned, you can use them freely on mods uploaded to Nexus, just give me some credit, eh?

Credits
Natterforme for the original mod and kindly allowing me to mess around with it.
