About this mod

This modifies the existing Night Eye spell to be more realistic and allow it to be useful for lighting mods that make Skyrim darker. Vanilla version also available for those who play without lighting mods OR with lighting mods that DOES NOT darken Skyrim and its dungeons.

Permissions and credits
This mod changes the existing Night Eye and Vampire's Sight spells to be more realistic by removing the blue tint, reducing the saturation by half, brightening the image and removing the radial blur. I've also altered the sound that is made when activating/deactivating the spell.

The fact that it only had 60 seconds of use made no sense so I removed it. This means you can freely toggle it on and off without worrying about using it sparingly.

NOTE: This mod will work fine with or without Dawnguard or any of the other DLC. This is due to the fact that the Vampire Lord in Dawnguard uses the same Vampire's Sight that exist in the vanilla game. This means this mod will work with vanilla vampires and the updated vampires of Dawnguard without having to download a separate file.

This mod is only meant to work with lighting mods that darken Skyrim quite a bit such as Realistic Lighting Overhaul and using it in the default lighting of Skyrim would make the image too bright to see.

Version to Use:

Original Version - Use when playing with lighting mods that darken Skyrim and its dungeons.

Vanilla Version   - Use when playing with no lighting mods OR playing with lighting mods that DOES NOT darken Skyrim and its dungeons.

This mod will not give the player Night Eye or Vampire's Sight. You will still need to be a Khajiit or become a Vampire/Vampire Lord to use it.

SOME TIPS TO CONSIDER:

ELFX is very dark and works very well with the standard "ELFXEnhancer.esp". It does not work so well if you use "ELFX - Hardcore.esp" instead however. This is because the Hardcore dungeon lighting will remove pretty much all sources of light from dungeons (it is stated on the mod page that this is like this in dungeons which are uninhabited by people) meaning there will be little to no ambient light for Night Eye to amplify, rendering it useless as in some places you won't be able to see the floor (using a torch will rectify this but will obviously render Night Eye pretty much redundant). I recommend using hardcore dungeon lighting if you intend to use torches/spells or other means to light your path, especially if you want to make every dungeon feel abandoned and completely unlit.
However as I said before the standard enhancer works great in terms of being very dark and my Night Eye compliments it. So it just depends on your play style, see what works for you and know that your not missing out on anything if you don't use hardcore dungeon lighting .

Hope you enjoy using it ;).
