AZ Weapon Balance is a mod that change the base stats of weapons depending by their material/style

i alwais found the "linear" progression in material dmg a bit boring so i tought to add some complexity, and hopefully fun, to the material types. this way different styles of weapons may better suit to different playstyles/tastes and is not just a matter higher material = higher damage.
for example orcish weapons tend to be smaller and lighter than other material so now they have the lowest reach and stagger chance but they have a good boost in speed, on the other hand daedric weapons tend to be heavy and cumbersome so they got more reach, stagger and crt dmg but their are considerably slower than other weapons.

here a table of the changes, note that these changes are on top of the base material stats like base speed for Nord Hero or base stagger for Stalhrim.

Reach/Speed/Stagger
steel/iron =/=/=
nord hero -/=/+
nord -/+/=
orc --/++/--
dwarven +/=/-
elven +/-/+
glass =/+/--
ebon ++/-/-
stalhrim =/-/++
daedric +/--/+/+crit
dragon =/=/=
draug -/-/+
falmer -/-/++/ +1dmg
forsw =/--/++

also i took the chance to make some weapons like silver or draug craftable and silver can be tempered with advanced armor perk.

i also did change a bit the base stats of many weapons, axes and maces have lower reach and eventually higher stagger, while sword have lower stagger and damage to compensate. 2h weapons got buffed a bit with higher speed and now greatswords have the highest reach while battle axes and warhammers are inbetween 1h swords and greatswords but got a considerable stagger buff.

i also changed the scimitars to be slower and heavy hitting, while i didnt touch the katanas at all
mod structure
the mod come in english or italian and consist of a main file, a dawnguard addon and a dragonborn addon, so you need to install 1 of more of these files depending by your version of skyrim.

there are also patches for weapon mods i use (i suggest to check them out!)
Heavy Armory - New Weapons: Dragonborn Edition by PrivateEye
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/21120
Heavy Armory - New Weapons: Dawnguard addon by PrivateEye
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/21120

Lost Longswords by Mr.Brownstone
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/26261

note that i did modify the base stats of the weapons in these mods to take into account the other changes i made to vanilla skyrim weapons stats.

important! for the patch .esp files make sure they are loaded AFTER the mods they are supposed to patch
compatibility

this mod changes the base stats of all skyrim weapons, so mods that add new weapons will not benefit from the changes i made unless there is a patch for it.
