Hello! this is a simple overhaul of the default Elven bow.
I have always been upset by how wimpy the vanilla Elven Bow is. It's heavy and weak and not overly useful if you're level 37 and have 88 in your archery skill. I was really upset about how one of the weaker bows in the game was the one made by the race that is known for stealth, secrecy, and archery. Anyone knows that elves are the best archers in any RPG ever, their keen eyesight, and steady graceful hands make them the perfect archers. Elven smiths are know for their talent with Shortblades and Bows, so why is it that the heavily armored race that prefers Two-handed Greatswords has a more powerful bow than the Elves, masters of Archery?!
This mod is my way of fixing that. all it does right now is to change the base damage from 13 to 22(one point higher than Dragonbone) and drop the weight from 12 to 6. I didn't change anything else. This should work with any mods you have installed as it's a replacer mod. as long as you don't have any other mods that change the Elven Bow you should be good. On the other hand if it doesn't work properly then I'm not sure how to help. It could be that your mods are conflicting, or it could be that this mod requires my mod list. I am brand new to the CK though and I'm really, REALLY, green. I suppose you could I'm 'so green, even you guys are better than me!' *Wink*
Anyway feedback and suggestions are always appreciated! No textures have been changed as of yet but If the demand is high enough I might learn how to modify those as well. any help a (somewhat) experienced modder could offer would be well appreciated! please leave any responses in the comments and remember to endorse if you like the mod and want to see what else I'll do.
and last i apologize for the lack of pictures, the Steam overlay doesn't seem to run on Skyrim or Oblivion on my computer and I have no other screen capture software.
