About this mod

A non resource intensive ENB designed to improve the look of vanilla Skyrim without overdoing any cheesy effects.

Note: This ENB/mod is for the old version of skyrim and is not longer supported. Please see comments for any sticked information that may allow continued use of the mod.

Huge thanks to hodilton for the fantastic video.

How does this ENB perform?

This enb was made with performance in mind.

I hold a steady 60 fps in almost all areas with a GTX 760 and an intel i-5 3570k while also using 2k textures, mesh mods, and floral overhauls.

Easy way to change the color of this ENB

Go to your main Skyrim folder and locate the SweetFX_settings.txt file

In that file, scroll down until you find the "Sepia" settings and change the following settings to whatever you prefer.

#define ColorTone float3(0.00, 0.00, 0.00)
(RGB color values)

#define SepiaPower 0.1
  (Strength of the effect. 0 is off, 1 is max. I recommend anywhere from .05 to .15 when trying out a new color)

Here is an easy to use website to find RGB values.

Step One: Preparing Skyrim for the ENB

• Locate your Skyrim's ini files, usually located in Documents > My Games > Skyrim

• Open Skyrim.ini and add the following lines under [Display]

       fSunShadowUpdateTime=.25
       fSunUpdateThreshold=1.5

• Open SkyrimPrefs.ini and change the following lines under [Display]:

      iBlurDeferredShadowMask=1 3 if you have power to spare)
      iMaxAnisotropy=0
      iMultiSample=0
                                                          bTreesReceiveShadow=0  (If your pc can handle it, change this to 1. The visual difference is not very noticeable)
      bDrawLandShadows=1 (same as previous setting)
      bFloatPointRenderTarget=1

Step Two: Adding ENB to Skyrim

• Download the required ENB files.
Personally I have found less stutter in heavy areas using v.0262. I am unsure why this is.

• Locate your main skyrim directory, usually located in
Program Files (x86)> Steam > steamapps > common > Skyrim

• Drag enbhost.exe and d3d9.dll from the enb wrapper folder into your main Skyrim folder, nothing else.

•Go to the files section on this page and manually download the main file.

• Drag every file from this mod into your Skyrim folder. Merge and overwrite everything if asked, including the data folder.

• Go into your enblocal.ini (located in the main skyrim folder) and change the following settings:

VideoMemorySizeMb=  RAM+VRAM-2048

ReservedMemorySizeMb=
Set it to 128. If you are getting stutter, raise it by 128 each time until stutter is removed.

Step Three:

• Download both PARTICLE PATCH ALL-IN-ONE and SUBSURFACE SCATTERING PATCH from the
 ENB forum and install them the same way as the previous files. Just drop them into your main skyrim folder, merging the data folder with the existing one. If you have previously installed mods, this may overwrite certain meshes.

• Download the first file only of Enhanced ENB Night Eye. This is just an esp, I have already configured the preset to work with it, but you can read the mod page and customize it to your taste. Even if you do not use a race with night eye this is still required. Many mods and a few vanilla quests use the night eye effect.
