Have suggestions/complaints/critique? We've got a forum for that! This is a work in progress and I'm definitely open to community input so long as it keeps with the spirit of Requiem.

INTRO:
¯¯¯¯¯¯

So on the last mod page, we talked about fixes. We talked about a certain author who makes a whole lot of awesome fixes. So now, let's talk about how she fixed crafting in Skyrim. Before I get too far into it, let me just say; if you aren't using Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade yet, you're probably doing it wrong (or you're using Crafting 300, which is likely the only viable competitor due to its scale alone, and which I'll be taking another look at in the future). If you're doing it wrong, you should check out a couple videos about what all CCOR has to offer and give yourself a reason to stop doing it wrong.
______________
WHAT IS THIS??:
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

Built off of Azirok's Requiem - CCOR Patch, Crafting Overhaul Reqtified is a patch for Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade and Requiem, to ensure the changes made keep Requiem's balance in mind. It's worth noting that since this humble beginning, a lot has changed, and Crafting Overhaul Reqtified is finally what I'd originally hoped it could be; a complete overhaul of CCOR that is carefully tailored to Requiem.

While much has changed, this is still a work in progress; while it finally does contain the complete Reqtification of the CCOR changes that I'd originally wanted it to, there are always little inconsistencies and oversights that I actively remedy. Despite its WIP status, Crafting Overhaul Reqtified is now a polished product, and is recommended for anyone seeking an enhanced crafting experience in Requiem.

Use the basic installation guide if you don't/won't use the recommended mods! Scroll down for the extended version. Whether or not you want the
rest, there are three mods I advise using for both install types; Weapons and Armor Fixes Remade and Clothing and Clutter Fixes, as they provide numerous fixes that greatly improve on items throughout the game, and are by the same (awesome) author; and KFR - Kryptopyr's Fixes Reqtified, a combination patch for them, brought to you by yours truly.

WRYE BASH USERS:

For best results, don't use a Bashed patch with this patch. However, if you absolutely must make a Bashed patch, make sure to uncheck the 'Import Names' and 'Import Stats' boxes, and definitely use the TES5Edit Script: Unlevel (or Re-Level) Leveled List by fireundubh to keep leveledlists unleveled; you will likely have to edit these leveled lists manually with TES5Edit to remove items of certain qualities (glass and ebony items aren't common in leveled lists, and daedric items are absent entirely) in accordance with Requiem. This is why I suggest instead using a properly-designed patch for Requiem.
___________
MCM STUFF:

Suggested MCM settings for related mods.
  • Wet and Cold:
    • Rain Blind - Full
    • Blizzard Blind - Full
    • Enable Strong Winds.
    • Enable Rain Gear.
    • Enable Go Home.
    • Enable Cold Gear.
    • Enable Survival Gear.
  • Immersive First Person View
    • You will have to invest a little extra time to configure this mod. Eventually I hope to have a fully-configured preset suitable for posting here, but I lost my saved settings some time ago.
    • I find that field of view (FOV) should generally be set to 80 on most, if not all profiles.
    • I also usually move the camera to about forward position 30 on each profile: My basic rule is.. Far enough that I can't see my face.. Close enough that distance doesn't look distorted.
    • Sometime soon I'll probably throw a basic load order together and set up my profiles again, just to be able to provide settings for the benefit of my users. I used to play with Requiem, IFPV and iHUD; there's something about hitting a target with a longbow from a hundred paces without a crosshair or autoaim to assist you.
  • Equipping Overhaul:
    • Disable Geared Up.
  • Animations
    • Disable camera movement on any (or all) animations if it causes issues or looks awkward.
___________
LOAD ORDER:
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

Use LOOT, then move Requiem and everything Requiem-related to the bottom of your load order. Load my patches last.

For reference, here are the related load orders. The masters themselves are sorted by LOOT. My personal load order is provided for the extended installation. If you're experiencing CTDs, you're missing one of the master files listed in the basic load order below, most likely.

REDUNDANT FILES:
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

The following patches are resolved (and made unnecessary) by this patch (so don't load them!):
  • Requiem - Dragonborn - CCOR Patch.esp
  • CCO_WAFTrueWeapons_Patch.esp
  • Weapons & Armor_TrueWeaponsLvlLists.esp
Make sure they aren't active in your load order.
Please note, again, that the original mods are the property of their respective authors and this is only a patch. You do require the listed files and my patch does not contain all the contents of any of the originals.
_____________
COMPATIBILITY:
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

Should be compatible anything that doesn't change crafting/the same recipes (since we're just talking fixes here), but for the sake of preserving the edits made, I highly recommend loading it well after anything else that edits item stats or crafting recipes.

CREDITS AND THANKS:
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

All of the original works are required and listed as masters. I did not make any of them, so all credit goes to the original authors. I'd like to thank the following people for creating these (absolutely amazing) things for me to incorporate. Without them, none of this would be possible.

The Unofficial Patch Project Team for
USLEEP
kryptopyr for CCOR,WAFR, and CCF
Xarrian and Ogerboss for Requiem - The Roleplaying Overhaul
Last, but definitely not least, Azirok for the original Requiem-CCOR patch, which both inspired and served as the foundation for COR, and all his other amazing Requiem patches.

A note: If a mod is listed in the credits but not the requirements, it means certain changes were carried over for consistency/balance (or various fixes in the cases of the USKP, CCF and WAF, for the purpose of compatibility).

A thank you as well to the modders mentioned above for creating the awesome recommended mods in the "Extended install" for COR, and to Vallen128 for the banner (I just tweaked it a bit).
__________
IN CLOSING:
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

Thanks for checking out the patch. If you like COR and decide to endorse it, you should probably endorse the original mods too (it might seem a little silly not to). Also, if you enjoy a survival playthrough, feel free to check out my Requiem Survival Experience. On another note entirely, if complex weathers and ambient sounds are more your thing, I might suggest checking out my Weather and Ambience Overhaul. Finally, while you're here, these are some (mostly) unrelated mods I would definitely recommend.
