NEWS: There is a new version of this mod that allows the audience to play random clapping animations, I recommend it over the older versions

Tired of the slow, sad/sarcastic clapping NPCs do when a beautiful song ends?

Well, wait no more, this mod changes the animation to one of the alternate applaud animations, not only they will raise their hands and clap fast, you will hear the difference in the sound.

This is a small mod I made out of the frustration of being unable to find a mod that dealt with the issue in a proper way.

For those interested in how it was done, it changes the idle animation "IdleApplaud3" and makes it play "IdleApplaud5" instead. Since all NPCs play the "IddleApplaud3" animation when the bard finishes, they will play "IdleApplaud5" instead.

This mod should be compatible with all expansions and the Unofficial patch mods. It won't be compatible with a mod that changes clapping animations (although if you have one of those I guess you won't need this one).

I've also added a 2nd file that allows you to choose which animation to play instead:

  • The file contains 3 variants of the clapping animation.
  • All 3 variants replace the same animation, the one used by most NPCs to clap slowly and bored.
  • Only use 1 of them at a time or they will overwrite each other if you try to use them all.
  • Don't use in combination with the .esp file

If you aren't sure which one to use, you can use these console commands:

player.playidle idleapplaud2
player.playidle idleapplaud4
player.playidle idleapplaud5

*Note that you must not have a shield or torch equipped, since that prevents the animation to play.

Again, if you find any problem or bug with this 2nd file, let me know :) Also, kudos to friffy for giving the idea.
