All updates will be posted on my blog going forward. Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm!

Dedicated to everyone that had so many positive words to say about my previous two Nirn ENB uploads. Because of your positive support and encouragement I have decided to share this config here on Nexus. I am very attached to this config, so I hope everyone really likes this one.

It's been a long time in the oven baking... The final Nirn ENB version is done!

This time around I attempted to make Skyrim look more like CGI. Not to be confused with my CGI series ENB which is pretty out dated. This version uses similar techniques but has been updated with the latest ENB binary and totally reworked shader files.

To keep the performance impact low, I have not used many effects. I don't feel they were totally necessary for this ENB. However, all the effects not used out of the box we're still configured. Feel free to use the in game ENB menu to turn on any effects you want.

This ENB was made for use with a specific Nvidia driver version to get the proper ambient occlusion working. It's not required, however it is recommended to get the look of most of the screenshots. You will see those specific screenshots labeled as "Nvidia Driver 320_49". I am in the process of taking more screenshots using the current Nvidia drivers with high quality ambient occlusion. Most were taken with the 320.49 driver. However, all the videos posted here were captured with the latest Nvidia driver and high quality ambient occlusion.

Instructions on my blog to get High Quality Ambient Occlusion turned on.

The performance impact from using High Quality AO is harder with the 320.49 driver than the up to date Nvidia driver. I'd say about 5 to 10 FPS harder.
You can still turn on High Quality AO using an up to date Nvidia driver, but the look of the ambient occlusion is not as defined or pronounced as the 320.49 driver and as a result, takes away from the look this config was meant for. Although, its still a nice compromise on FPS.

For AMD users, I have tried to tweak the ENB SSAO to resemble the Nvidia 320.49 driver. Anyone can use this instead if they so choose. I just prefer the look of Nvidia AO over the ENB option.

You must download and install the ENB Series Binary file in order to use this config. The only file required is the d3d9.dll file. Just unzip the archive after you download it and copy and paste the d3d9.dll file to your Skyrim installation location. This should be the same location where the TESV.exe and SkyrimLauncher.exe files are located.

You can get the ENB Series Binary file here

1. If you are coming from a different ENB config, DELETE any leftover or existing ENB files, especially the EFFECT.TXT file located in your Skyrim folder (Your Skyrim Folder is where TESV.exe should be located) If this file is left over, my ENB will use old data from your previous ENB. Disable any other Graphical mods that might interfere with this ENB. This excludes Pure Weather and Enhanced Lights and FX. Those two mods are supported!
(Technically COT should be supported too. Give it a shot and let me know in the comments

2. Copy all the files to your Skyrim directory (where TESV.exe is located). Click yes if asked to overwrite. Don't forget to put the ENB binary file here as well. (the d3d9.dll file mentioned at the beginning)

3. Editing SkyrimPrefs.ini:
Edit or add the next lines inside "SkyrimPrefs.ini" located in "C:Users********Documents\My Games\Skyrim" to look like this:

fGamma=1.0400 (You can try different brightness levels in game. This was just what mine was when I uploaded the file.)

4. Editing enblocal.ini
ReservedMemorySizeMb=64 ... (256,512,1024)
For video cards with 2GB or more VRAM, 512 is a good baseline. For less VRAM, 256 can work better.
VideoMemorySizeMb=0 ... change to your VRAM size. (512,1024,2048...)
This setting should be set according to the available VRAM.

5. Enable all .esp files that are included and load them in the following order...

pure weather.esp (optional)
Climates of Tamriel.esp files(optional)
ELFX .esp files (optional)

ENB Snow Fx.esp
ELE-Spell and Torch Lighting.esp

6. Enjoy the ENB!

1. If you find performance is still to heavy I recommend disabling any of the following...
Water, Under Water You can do this while playing the game by pressing Shift + Enter and just uncheck the box for each of these. DONT FORGET TO SAVE  and APPLY your changes!

2. If you want the depth of field to create a more extreme miniature effect, open enbeffectprepass.fx and change this line from 0 to 1 or 2. You can go higher, but it looks weird unless you are running beyond 1080p. (I run my game at 3200x2400 and use 5 for screenshots and if I just want to play, I use

3. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND enabling Nvidia Ambient Occlusion using the Oblivion flag. I created a tutorial on how to do this on my blog. Far Off Mods This is a setting I use which helps give my characters that CGI look. If the effect isn't working for you, you may need to change iBlurDeferredShadowMask to 1 or 0 in your skyrimprefs.ini

4. OPTIONAL: Add or edit your Skyrim.ini file with these lines. This is a nice shadow update transition so shadows aren't constantly shifting and bouncing around.

5. OPTIONAL: I prefer using this config when centering the camera behind the character at all times. This is just my preference. If you would like to try this out simply open your Skyim.ini file and copy and paste this into the bottom and save. On a side note, my depth of field was made for this camera position. Their are other camera tweaks on the sticky pages in the comments at the top.

[Camera] <------Optional for 3rd person centered Camera, and looser turning (so the cam is not so 'fixed' behind the player as it moves), and instant POV switching. To use, remove the Semicolons.
