I wasn't satisfied with other font mods, so I scoured the internet in search of how to make a font work with Skyrim. After that, I looked for a good font and I believe I was successful.
Installation:
Put the files into Skyrim/Data/Interface. If fontconfig.txt already exists, then you will need to edit your existing fontconfig.txt file or just overwrite it. To edit it, just add fontlib "Interface\Gentium.swf" to your existing fontconfig.txt under the other fontlib lines and put Gentium into the quotation marks in the lines starting with map.
For example: map "$DialogueFont" = "Gentium" Normal or map "$EverywhereFont" = "Gentium" Normal
Put Gentium in any line in which you want it to be.
Again, if fontconfig.txt doesn't exist or if you want to use Gentium everywhere except for books, just copy the files to Skyrim/Data/Interface. Downloading with NMM probably works, too.
I got this font from dafont.com and the font is made by SIL International. It is marked as Public domain on the site. I just made it work with Skyrim.
I don't know how to fix the font not fitting in some menu's. Maybe Bethesda and the SkUI developers should've allowed larger spaces for text. Sorry for the inconvenience.
The font still works perfectly in most instances, but sometimes it is a little too large to fit. See screenshots for details.
