Upgrades Vlindrel Hall to include 6 child beds. Requires Hearthfires.

If you've used previous versions you'll have follow the install instructions below again

STOP PRESS: MAJOR NEW VERSION. Now contains permanent alchemy lab.

To get the most out of it you will need TMPhoenix's Mulitple Adoptions Mod. Without it its still useable but will only sleep 2 children. Requires Hearthfires.

A major new version is based on Vlindrel Hall TNF which is possibly the best VH mod out there and the author has made it freely available for anyone to modify. Many thanks to goatk. Child bedroom contains 6 child beds, dining table, relocated practise dummy and child chest. Also includes extra chests with some items. Room is themed in Dwemer style throughout.

Upgrades are purchased from Raerek/Reburrus Quintilius in Understone Keep just like vanilla game.

Reasons for this mod

I wanted somewhere to sleep all six kids and why should the Housecarl have a better room than your own kids?.

This is the second in a series of planned Beds Plus upgrades for all vanilla houses.

Make a SAVE at this point and keep it safe somewhere. I call this the "before I screwed up" save.

If you havn't purchased any upgrades to the alchemy lab or child bedroom then just install the mod and go purchase these upgrades.

Special instructions if you have already purchased child bedroom or alchemy lab upgrades for Vlindrel Hall:

Remove ALL items from the house that you want to keep. Open the console and type "TGM" if you can't carry it all.

1) Move your kids and spouse out of Vlindrel Hall into another house and check they've moved over there. They must not be resident when you install the mod or problems may ensue.

2) Save and quit

Remove any previous version of Vlindrel Hall Beds Plus (or any other mod that remodels Vlindrel Hall) at this point!

3) Install the mod.

4) Head for an internal cell (not vlindrel hall), such as the Silverblood Inn over the way and when inside open the PC console and type the following commands:

PCB
resetinterior markarthvlindrelhall

5) Save the game immediately and

6) Quit.

7) Restart game, head over to Vlindrel Hall, everything should be new and in place. Any oddities like pots and pans and other clutter scattered over the floor, reload the save you previously made at 5) and type the previous console commands again and save and exit again. Do NOT use "markfordelete" on ANY object, they are default Vlindrel Hall objects and this command will delete them for good and if you uninstall this mod you'll have missing stuff etc.

8) You're good to go.

Any oddities like missing dining area bench, beds or chests stuck in the floor, reload the save you previously made at 6) and type the previous console commands again and save and exit again. Do NOT use "markfordelete" on ANY stuck object, they are default Vlindrel Hall objects and this command will delete them for good.

F.A.Q's / Known problems

Q: Help! I followed your instructions but somethings gone wrong and everythings messed up! I have objects stuck inside one another, things scattered over the floors. What should I do?

A: Reload the "before I screwed up" save you made earlier and try again. Don't skip any steps.

Q: Help! I adopted a kid and they said they placed items in the chest in their room but I can't find it! Whats going on?

A: Its the large Dwemer chest on the floor immediately on the left as you enter the room.

Q: Help! My kids won't go to bed! They just stand around in the room all night long!

A: Use the "wait" key to advance time 1 hour. If that fails move the kids out to another player house and then move them back in. Also make sure you have no killable kiddie mods active.Still not working? You almost certainly have a mod conflict. Try to disable one by one any other mods that affect children, spouses (NOT multiple adoptions mod), houses, etc. Theres no magic wand to wave here you're just going to have to track it down, 100+ endorsements at the time of writing from people with no troubles means the problem is almost certainly at your end, sorry.

Q: Help I told my follower to wait in the Child Room while I purchased an Alchemy Lab and now they've disappeared! Where have they gone? How do I get them back?

Probably on the wrong side of the wall. Reload a previous save or open the PC console and type:

prid <NPC id>
moveto.player

Q: Why is some food and items on the table removable and some not?

A: I had a weird bug whilst testing, table items would flicker in and out of existence, sometimes they'd vanish for several seconds before reappearing. Probably a Hearthfire bug as it only happened while they were sitting down for breakfast/dinner. Making most items static fixed this.

Q: Do I need to use the "Bless Home" spell to move all 6 kids into the house?

A: No, this is a vanilla home so it's not needed. Just move the kids in and they should all find their beds when they need to sleep.

Notes
Changes to original Vlindrel Hall TNF mod
Expanded child bedroom now has sleeping arrangements for six
Improved the water feature/bath room
Fixed the flickering/vanishing child and invisible doll syndrome
