Convert Your Armor - Balanced Transmogrification

by Madcow

Version :1.8
Date :6/1/2014
Category:Armor

Description

This mod adds recipes for converting those heavy armor to light armor or clothing, and light to heavy or clothing. Nothing else is changed, only crafting and tempering recipes so you can use it with all them other crafting overhauls and armor retextures and custom armors out there! Now you can run around in that sexy steel armor...with light armor stats going up! Recommend to use with armor retexture mods.

Stats have been adjusted to reflect their new characteristics
So for instance, Ebony Heavy>Ebony Light>Glass Heavy>Glass Light
so the gaps might not seem so big but it's there and with tempering it'll grow

Detail

General rule of conversion (You must have the original piece crafted first)
Light+3 Ingots = Heavy
Heavy+1 Ingot = Heavy/Light/Clothe
Light+1 Ingot= Clothe

-Convert light armor to heavy armor or clothing, or heavy armor to light armor or clothing all at the Forge. You can even convert back the converted armor! Except clothe. Once you convert it to cloth you can't change it back. I might add recipes later. Much later.
-Does not change but add in to vanilla levelled list! I think it should be very compatible. This means you will see light versions of the Iron Armor of Health
-Uses nothing but vanilla recipes. Load it early on to let other crafting modifiers have their effect!
-All armors are enchantable and lootable and upgradable
!!!Now comes with specific "Converter Anvils" used just for converting! Keep your crafting list clean and simple!!! Refer to image to what they look like.

Update#1: My deepest apologies to all the folks who tried out my mod. Thank you for the great words of compliment and criticism. I've been away from Skyrim for a long time, and I'm finally getting back to it. Which means I will also work out any errors or bugs and release a newer version soon enough. Thank you.
