VERSION 1.1 HAS BEEN RELEASED! NOW WITH IMPROVED 2K TEXTURES! ENVIRONMENTAL MAPPING! AND AN IMPROVED SCABBARD TEXTURE!

"Do you see those warriors from Hammerfell? They've got curved FAT, LOW-RES, NON-SHINY!!!! swords. Curved. FAT, LOW-RES, NON-SHINY!!!! Swords." -Random Skyrim Guard

==========
Description
==========
A simple texture and model replacer for Skyrim's scimitars.

The vanilla scimitars' models have always bugged me. First of all, they are big, fat and cartoonish looking. Secondly, they look nothing like real scimitars. Thirdly, they lacked a scabbard. EDIT: FOURTHLY, Bethesda for some reason didn't give them an environment map like all the other swords in the game. This mod aims to fix all that as well as be a bit of a personal exercise in fantasy weapon design.

The new model is a completely unique design created from scratch by me; all meshes, textures, etc. were made by yours truly. The new design tries to keep the same feel as the vanilla scimitar, while also drawing from various elements seen in real world weapons.

This mod was made mainly for myself, but I felt like sharing it just in case anyone else wanted to try out a new style of scimitar.

If you download the standalone version; it will be called the "Nomad Scimitar" and will be craftable once you have the steel crafting perk using 2 steel ingots, 1 corundum ingot, and 2 leather strips. Same stats as the normal scimitar and upgradeable with a steel ingot.

Enjoy! :)

Compatibility
============
Shouldn't have any big compatibility issues now.

Also, for those using Dual Sheath Redux, I have created a patch for the replacer version of the mod under the "optional files." However, it is ONLY for the replacer version. I might consider making a patch for the standalone version if there is demand for it, so leave in the comments your opinion on that.
