You can now use the anvil to craft soulgems from smaller ones. You will find soul gem crafting in miscellaneous section. Instead having perk requirements, this mod utilizes using rare ingredients. Smaller gems are made in larger batches, so less additive ingredients are wasted on them. Gem conversion rate is based on their cost. They are crafted following way:
voild salts: *can be found in places occupied by conjurers, either in their pockets, or on the remains of permanently summoned storm atronachs *can be found in alchemy satchels or shops *can be made in atronach forge using recipe SPOILER amethyst + salt pile + any soul gem
vampire dust: *can be found on the bodies of vampires, any quest including vampires is a good source as each vampire is sure to carry one *can be found in alchemy satchels or shops
human flesh (very rare, cannot be bought or harvested): *can be found on the bodies of dead lycanthropes - companion quests or random encounters *rarely it can be found in forsworn settlements *respawning sources SPOILER one piece in Arentino residence in Windhelm, in Dawnguard DLC several are in Volkihar castle, unless you cleansed it of clan Volkihar
