Mountain Video

As long promised, here comes the "All in One" download for Vivid Landscapes series.
It adds high quality textures combined with UV improved, parallax enhanced meshes and works as a replacer for Default Skyrim textures and meshes.

The package contains everything I made since and changes:

....................................- Mountains
....................................- Cliffs
....................................- Creeks
....................................- Dungeons
....................................- Ruins
....................................- Imperial Fords
....................................- Birthsigns
....................................- Orc and Farmhouses
....................................- The Volcanic and The Tundra region.

links to respective divided mods are below

You better don't use TextureOptimizer or something alike, the main textures are packed to highest level, only some parallax maps are uncompressed greyscale images and show up distorted if compressed.
They are the same size as a compressed, transparent 512 texture and won't lower your performance anyway.

you can choose from different variations in download section, there is nothing to intimidate the user from choosing what ever he think it's best for his game and his taste. the mod offer:
a none ENB version comes without the Parallax effect for all the color choices and file sizes.

different file sizes.
the cost of the large files will be a burden on your Graphics Card..
there will be always a balance to make between Beauty of the world and performance of the Gameplay.

all the choices in this mod come in two methods, a BSA archive or Loose Files. if you're the one who use a few textures mods then the BSA archive is in your ally to choose, but if you have too many textures and meshes mods you can choose the Loose Files to make the endless decisions to overwrite and pick what ever suit your fine taste.
note that The content of a BSA gets always overwritten by loose files no matter where you place the .esp plugin in the loadoreder.
Loose Files are smaller download than the BSA archive because of 7z compression,
If you unpack both archives you see the BSA is actually smaller.
It is compressed like the Vanilla one for game use and so the 7z or zip compression has no further effect,
on loose files on the other hand you can spare quite a number of Mb.

different colors to certain textures
(Mountains - Tundra - Dungeons walls)
applied to all the different sizes.

...........install oreder for the Loose Files:
............1. If you want to use the mods mentioned in the Recommended mods install them first.
............2. Install the Loose Files of your choice (512 is Vanilla original size, 2048 is HD)
............3. Install the compatibility patches, color packs, if wanted.
............4. Install the update
............5. Install the NON-ENB patch, if wanted.

...........if the BSA archive chosen to be installed:
............1. install the file in your Data folder or with your mod manager.
............2. activate it's .esp plugin.
............3. move it to last position of your load order.
............4. Install the compatibility patches, color packs and the NON-ENB patch, if wanted.
............5. Install the update.
............6. Install the NON-ENB patch, if wanted.

ENB is not obligatory, though it enhances parallax effect.
With the "NON-ENB-patch" it works also with Vanilla only.

............If you are using an ENB preset, make sure to set the following lines:
............1. "bDeferredShadows=1" in your SkyrimPrefs.ini.
............2. "FixParallaxBugs=true" in your enblocal.ini.
Newer ENB's correct parallax-flaws pretty good, I've updated all my heightmaps for better support.

All overlapping meshes from SparrowPrince's "distant Decal Fix" his "Better Dynamic Snow" and Brumbek's "SMIM" are incorporated, if you want to use their whole work you have to download it from their site.
Special thanks to both of them for their great mesh improvements.

if you're using
"Enhanced Lights and FX" a compatibility Patch is provided in the downlaod files.

In simple words, parallax is a advancement of normalmapping...
though the depth-information doesn't get simply "drawn" on the surface, it rather warps the texture itself in the desired direction.
You can imagine the parallax-texture as kind of radar map like the NASA ones from Venus.
The depth effect can get triangulated out of it.
It is not as sophisticated as high end Tessellation and a much older technique, but still nice :)

...........I'm running my game with mods like:
............- SMIM
............- Better Dynamic Snow.
............- Distant Decal Fix.
............- Vandr Presents - HD Imperial Tower.
............- Ruins Clutter Improved.
............- Skyrim HD - 2K Textures.
You can though don't have to install them. They all are to find here on Nexus.
You still can use all mountain textures you want, just make sure they are installed at last (parallax maps/meshes improve them just the same).

For the screens I used "Ruvaak Dahmaan ENB Redone"
