I use this mod all the time so that i am never away from my gear. I have never had any issues so i thought i'd share it with you all.
This mod adds one basic General Storage chest to each Town. You will need this mod first, General Stores - storage resource for packrats by Harvey2112 http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/18340/?

Just download and enjoy. I also added a enchantment table to whiterun behind the blacksmithy.

I am not sure how this mod will go with mods that change the towns or add items, so b careful.
