Description
Last updated at 10:58, 5 Dec 2013 Uploaded at 22:58, 13 Nov 2013
Player home located in Rorikstead.
Warning: This is my first mod. There may be things you do not like about it. Any offense is entirely unintentional.
Features:
It has a map marker.
7 people already live there, but there is plenty of room.
You can trade with all of them, giving them gear to wear other than their default outfits. One is a blacksmith merchant, another is a fence.
Two of the inhabitants will venture outside a few times a week to appear less useless.
You can talk to Yvonne about making copies of the house key that you can then give out to up to 50 npcs who will then move in with you.
You may move your spouse and children into the house if you use an appropriate addon mod. Look under the Optional Files section.
The "house" is rather large compared to breezehome, contains a main hall with a dining area, four bedrooms, a collection room, a work area, a study and a cave with water in it, all in a single cell.
There are supplies here and there, crafting tables of all kinds are placed in supposedly fitting locations. Plenty of weapon plaques, bookshelf space, display cases and mannequins.
Three tiny mannequins are placed in the study on a shelf next to the enchanting table, for storing special enchanting gear or something to that effect.
There are loads of idle markers so npcs should never have a lack of things to do.
Files:
The main file is always required. Must be above any optional files in the load order.
There are currently two optional files that both add support for spouse and adoption in their own ways. One is based on original game content, the other is based on a third party mod by TMPhoenix.
Do not use both adoption addons at the same time, choose one.
(If you use the optional adoption addon based on original Hearthfire content:)
If you wish to adopt children into Woodhall in an existing save game, then you might have to talk to Helena (one of the inhabitants) first. She will let you reset the adoption system, marking the house as available for children.
Suggestions are welcome!
Bug reports are welcome!
Complaints will be taken as confessions of love, with surprise suggestions in them.
Latest:
- v1.2 - Fixed dialogue in mainfile and addon. No longer necessary to save and load once before they all work. Thanks to Thos for pointing me in the right direction.
- v1.1 - Added separate esp file to the main file package that re-implements the landscape fixes that disappeared when turning the mod into a master file. Removed back door.
- v1.0 - Requires clean save, uninstall and delete old version before installing this. Mod split in 3.
- v0.6 - Yvonne can make housekeys for you that you can give to random people and they will start living at Woodhall.
Removed unnecessary beds behind the dining table and added a new bedroom instead.
Some playthings for the kids added to their bedroom.
Added a mining area in a new cave room.
Added some furniture and clutter here and there.
1) Main file - always required.
2) Optional file - "Spouse and adoption" based on original Hearthfire content.
3) Optional file - Support for "Hearthfire multiple adoptions by TMPhoenix"
Do not use both adoption addons, only one.
Subtle changes here and there, nothing major.
Known issues:
- Ore in mining area may need time to respawn if you upgrade to 1.1 from an older version.
