Important Announcement

Be sure to pay attention to where BOSS places your patch(es) and if it needs to be moved, do it.

AOS current version = 1.51
All ESPs in the "Main" and "Optional" files section are newly updated to AOS v1.51.0

(for future reference, if/when LordKorn release a new version, I will update the files as soon as it is possible for me, then update this page right here to reflect that everything is up to date)

Download and Installation Protocol

1. Download Audio Overhaul for Skyrim from its main mod page. Install.
2. Come to this page. If you have Dawnguard or Dragonborn DLC, move to the next Step. If you do not have these DLC, move to Step 5
3.
If you want to use standalone DLC patches, download the DLC patches you need and Install, then move to Step 5 . If you want to use one of the merged DLC versions I have made, download the version you need and move to the next Step.
4. Install the merged version -- allow it to overwrite/replace the original AOS.esp from the main AOS mod (from Step1)
5. Download any of the non-DLC patches that you want to use. Install.
6. Make sure you have all of the mod dependencies (masters) installed and active in your load order.
7. Make sure that each Patch is positioned AFTER AOS.esp and the ESP of the mod it is patching!!
8. Make sure all related ESPs are activated, using your mod manager or skyrim launcher.
9. load the game. Go kill stuff.

** Read the included readme for each of the individual patches you download. The readme will give you all of the important details you could need, such as mod dependencies, a brief description of what the patch is fixing, and any other requirements or considerations.

Description:

This is not a mod per se, but rather a collection of compatibility patches for the popular sound mod, Audio Overhaul for Skyrim. The purpose is to provide individual standalone patches for all of the official DLC as well as all of the popular conflicting mods (and, for that, there are many).

What: compatibility patches and combined "DLC versions" for A.O.S.

Why: to achieve maximum compatibility between AOS, Official DLC, the Unofficial Patch project, and other third-party mods

Installation:
  • Read the "Download and Installation Protocol" above!!!
  • Install the .esp file to SteamSteamAppscommonSkyrimData -- Then activate the plugin using your mod manager or skyrim launcher
  • Most of my mod packages are structured so that your mod manager (NMM, MO, WB) should be able to recognize and install the ESP without any other re-packaging
  • (the exception to this is any package that has more than one version of the patch, to accommodate for different DLC)
The good news is that these are only patches, meaning there is only one file.. the ESP file. Simply copy/drag-drop/install the single file into SteamSteamAppscommonSkyrimData

Author's Note:

I am a busy person so don't expect a miracle. I will accept requests for patches to popular mods, and then, when i have time, i will download that mod (if i dont already have it myself) and make the patch for it. Please be patient with me, especially when it comes to updating these files each time LordKorn comes out with a new revision of the main mod. If he releases an update, expect that it will take at least 6 hours for me to realize the mod has been updated, download the update, open it up and find the changes, compare them to the patches, make any necessary changes, then upload my new version. That being said, if you notice that AOS has been updated, it doesnt hurt to send me a message and let me know in case i havent realized it yet. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
