About this mod

This mod adds two new Standing Stones - The Imperial and the Stormcloak - to the game. Both stones boost their respective armors\' armor rating by 50%. For example, this addition makes Imperial Heavy Armor almost equal to Steel Plate Armor and Stormcloak Cuirass slightly better than Elven Armor.

Permissions and credits
This mod adds two new Standing Stones - The Imperial and the Stormcloak - to the game.

Both stones boost their respective armors' armor rating by 50%.
For example, this addition makes Imperial Heavy Armor almost equal to Steel Plate Armor and Stormcloak Cuirass slightly better than Elven Armor.

The Standing Stones are located near Fort Hraggstad and Serpent Stone,
so that you will most likely find them in the early stages of the Civil War questline.

This mod does not require any other mods or DLC's.
It overwrites the powerShrineScript, so it won't work with other mods (are there any?) that alter it.

EDIT [150913]: Added a version which boost the armor ratings' +100% instead +50%. This boost
makes Imperial/Stormcloak armors the best base armors' in the game.

The reason I initially made this mod was that I usually start all my new
games by completing either one of the Civil War storylines. However, I was bummed
that the Civil War Gear was one of the worst in the game. I tried to think of a
balanced way of adjusting this and I come up with this mod.

It is noteworthy that there are two separate kind of Fur Boots and Fur Gauntlets in the game,
and the Stormcloak Stone boosts the Stormcloak versions of them.

Version 1.0 130913

Installation:
Load the archive and unpack it. It consist of three different files: StandingStones.esp, powerShrineScript.psc and powerShrineScript.pex. Put the .esp file to your ..common/skyrim/data/ folder.

Copy the original powerShrineScript.psc from your ..common/skyrim/data/Scripts/Source/ to another folder as a back-up.
Put the extracted powerShrineScript.pex to ..common/skyrim/data/Scripts/ folder.
Put the extracted powerShrineScript.psc to ..common/skyrim/data/Scripts/Source and overwrite the vanilla version (of which you just made a back-up!).*

Un-install:
Simply overwrite my powerShrineScript.psc with the back-up and delete my powerShrineScript .pex file. Although there shouldn't be a need for this because the script should work fine even you aren't using the mod.

* The reason we have to overwrite the original powerShrineScript is that you cannot overwrite an "used" script if they have the same name. Once you "use" a script in gameplay that particular save will always use the first instance of it. I would have made a completely new script to avoid this problem but this would have required excessive time for factoring all the Standing stones.
