I have OCD in the game....everything has it's place and books are big issue for me because I have literally spent an hour categorizing by type, name and even color....it's a major hassle lol, specially when my boyfriend looks at what I'm doing and makes fun of me for being so specific in a game lol. Going to give it a try, I see there hasn't been any comments in quite a while but figured why not.
I realize there hasn't been a comment since Nov. 2014 regarding this mod but just wanted to let you know that while this mod is a great idea, when I loaded books in bookshelves in several houses using the mod menu, the books are not visible afterward. Note that I was using the Unlimited Bookshelves mod in a previous saved game and stopped using it because it seemed to be causing crashes to desktop. Going to try moving to a location well away from the houses/bookshelves in question and let several days pass and see what happens.
A lot of mod book shelves are nonstandard . So would it be possible to uncap the high end as all excess books are returned so the script confect should be minimal collaborating with da5id2701 on an uncapping script he may have one that will work from his work with Unlimited Bookshelves .
Looks like a awesome mod was wondering tho would this work with "bookshelves script SKSE by McGuffin" ?
I would like to use it with : Unread books glow, bookshelves script skse & book covers which looks like it would be a wicked combo for a book hoarder like me and was just wondering if there's any problems ahead of time ? fairly certain the other two will be fine just the bookshelves one is mostly concerning me
Nice idea, but does this mod add physical books, or just the texture to give the illusion? Either way, this is a great mod! Thanks in advance for those who answer my question!
This doesn't work for me Installed it with NMM, tried crouch-activate, chose what I wanted, wait, close on finish - nothing on the bookcases. I tried uninstalling Unread Books Glow and Functional Houses (the only mods I have that might alter bookcases), did the same thing, and ended up with one copy of Berenziah's Whatever on a shelf no matter what options I chose.
What's up? What am I doing wrong? (PS, you're self-dressing mannequins mod works just fine).
If Unread Books Glow changes the original script it's unlikely the two will be compatible. I will be looking at this mod again at some point and see what can be done.

He's been madly busy, new role in his job - loads of courses he had to attend and be away from home etc. He's asked me to let you all know he hasn't abandoned any of his mods and will try to get comments and things done as soon as he is able.
I really like this mod. I just got the breezehome library basement mod (see below) and was utterly sad that this mod did not affect those shelves with its awesome auto-alphabetizing. Is there any way you could cover that mod or am I underestimating the complexity of it?
@mhatx as well, any mod that changes the vanilla bookshelf script will most likely NOT be compatible with this mod as this one relies on the way the vanilla script functions for it to work!
Weeellll, UB completely replaces the original bookshelf script whereas this is an add-on script that doesn't touch the original at all as I wanted to create as little impact as possible on the vanilla game but I am working on something similar for another mod so if/when I get that sorted I'll probably look into combining it with this one.
