i have been searching the nexus for months looking high and low for a throw away follower and there seems to be none so i made my own i added myself into the game for use as a basic follower to be used for the hard quests the ones your follower will probably get killed on. the whole idea is he can die and is a nice addition to the inhabitants of skyrim.
