[Update]
I won't be updating this file until I improve as a modder. I don't know how to fix the physics issues, and I don't think I'll be able to unless I start from the ground up. If anyone does know how to fix them, I'd love an explanation or link to the proper tutorial(s). Thanks you for your patience.

Dolch Kalt

This is a re-upload of the mod "Kalt" by David Jungnickel. In the initial release, Dolch Kalt was about twelve times as powerful as a daedric dagger. With permission, I've altered the stats, materials, perks, and keywords so that Kalt is slightly superior to an orcish dagger. Alternatively, I've provided a file where Dolch Kalt is acquired through the elven smithing perk, for light armor users. Details on the weapons' stats, materials, and changes from David's release are located in the appropriately named Readme tab!

Acknowledgements

A huge thank you to David for putting in the hours designing this awesome blade! If you like Dolch Kalt, remember to endorse the original Kalt

Known Issues and Bug Reports

  • Kalt has no object bounds, yet.
  • Kalt doesn't appear in the 3d object window, in one's inventory.
  • Kalt's physics aren't working properly, and may scatter objects when dropped. This is of particular significance if one tries a "placed" file. Unsure if this is caused by the lack of object bounds or not.

If you encounter a bug, try to give as detailed a report as possible. I'm not inside your head, I don't know what other mods your using, your system specs, or whether you're running BOSS.

Compatibility

  • Dolch Kalt should be compatible with most mods. If you choose the alternative "placed" files, then Dolch Kalt may be incompatible with mods that alter the Sleeping Giant Inn

Installation

Installation is simple, either hit download with NMM, or read the instructions included when you manually download. The folder called "Weapon Kalt" contains these instructions; the folder can be deleted post installation.

Uninstallation

  • Delete the esp named "Kalt" regardless of suffix or prefix.
  • Go into your textures folder. Then go in to your weapons sub-folder. Delete the folder named kalt.
  • Return to your data directory. Then go into your meshes folder. Open the weapons folder, and delete the kalt folder inside.
  • Return to your data directory. Go into your readmes folder. Delete kalt readme.

Future Plans

  • Put Kalt on to a specific few boss' loot tables, rather than just having it sit somewhere, for the placed versions.
  • Fix bugs as they come up
  • Create a small but noticeable visual difference between orcish and elvish kalt. If this happens, it will be some time, I don't have the skill for this yet.
