SABRECATS OF SKYRIM - Hi-Res Texture Packs brings 3 sets of 2K replacement textures for the Bethesda vanilla Sabrecats of Skyrim (or saber cat, if you prefer). There are two pelts to a pack, one for the standard Sabrecat, and one for the snow Sabrecat. There is also an optional download for matching inventory pelts.
Version 1.2 adds some enhancement to the diffuse textures, as well as adding a new combo, striped regular Sabrecats and snow spotted Sabrecats. You now have three download options... Striped, Spotted, or Striped and Spotted.
The Bethesda high-resolution textures for two sabrecats are good quality, but they are rather bland in appearance. I thought the Sabrecats should have textures that made them more distinct and impressive looking. Who wants bland textures? I've created 2 sets of textures (2 to a set), that allow a simple replacement of the default Sabrecat textures. Just pick the set you like most and install it. This can be done with NMM, or manually.
I have also included an optional download of the Sabrecatpelt files, so you can have matching pelt textures in your inventory menu. Again, they are separated into a spotted set, and a striped set. You can of course manually mix and match these textures also.
Be sure to check out the video section, where Muzzammil12 was kind enough to make a YouTube video of my Sabrecat retexture in action.
Installation: Use NMM, or to do manually, merely unzip the files and install them into your Data folder in your Skyrim game folder.
The file path is [C]Windows > Programs Files or Program Files (x86) > Steam > SteamApps > Common > Skyrim > Data > Textures > Actors > Sabrecat
Uninstall: Deactivate with NMM, or just manually delete (or overwrite) the sabrecat.dds, and sabrecatsnow.dds files.
For the Sabrecat pelt files, the file path is [C]Windows > Programs Files or Program Files (x86) > Steam > SteamApps > Common > Skyrim > Data > Textures > Clutter > Sabrecatpelts
Uninstall: Deactivate with NMM, or just manually delete (or overwrite) the sabrecatpelt.dds, and sabrecatsnowpelt.dds files.
Credits: Thanks to Bethesda for creating Skyrim and making the high-resolution packs available, which these textures are based on.
