* VERSION 1.0 AND LATER ARE CLEANED WITH TESVEDIT. *

* This is my first mod. Ever. Of any kind. Please be gentle. *
This is a house mod complete with master bedroom and bath, companion rooms, a housecarl room, a room specifically for Serana, kitchen, dining, garden and more. As a girl and an artist, I might have gotten a little carried away with some of the lighting and effects. Apologies. Also, it much larger than I intended; when I began I didn't have a real sense of scale. Although, it does make a nice place to herd all of your companions.
It is located in a mountain near Riften and the rear of the building faces an underground lake. (Yep, I totally made that up just because I like water. And things that live in water.) So the back of the building is lined with aquarium walls. (It took me quite a while to figure that out.)
Secret Solace is chock-full of custom storage, shrines, stones and decorative lighting. (This took me forever and a day to create, partly because I spent massive amounts of time on lighting only to discover later that I needed to delete half of it if I wanted anyone to be able to run it.) I've uploaded quite a few images to give you a better idea of what this mod has to offer.
I did everything I could to make sure that it is clean and that all of the storage is safe (I triple-checked them) and I am using it myself. HOWEVER... I am completely new to this and that being the case, I would be surprised if I didn't mess something up. So please make a nice clean save to go back to, just in case.
Also, I have a powerful machine. I can run this mod without any difficulty. I do have some concerns that people with limited systems might experience some trouble. If this is the case, please let me know and I will try to pare it down some more.
I recommend the excellent W.A.T.E.R. mod to make the most of the aquarium walls.

v. 1.1 - Cleaned .esp using TESVEdit
- Added dragon claw storage
- Added thieves guild special item storage
- Finally fixed the front door (interior and exterior) so that you don't see rock/black void
- Continued the navmesh underwater so that followers can swim in the pond
v. 1.0 - Cleaned .esp using TESVEdit
- Adjusted interior front door to open same direction as exterior door
- Removed large obstruction from the master bedroom that I somehow managed to miss
- Fixed the key storage container

Place the SecretSolace.bsa and SecretSolace.esp files in your Skyrim Data folder. Check the .esp file before starting the game. I love the Nexus Mod Manager. It makes my mod addiction less painful. *If updating, remove all player items from the home and create a new save before loading the new .esp and .bsa.*

Delete both files.

Apparently there is an issue with Sharpshooter's ENB that causes a severe lighting issue in the kitchen. Looking into it.

Thanks to these fantastic modders for their resources, without which this mod would be lackluster indeed.
