NEW NAME!!
I have decided to pick back up on this mod now that I have learned how to use quite a few more features in the creation kit so be on the lookout for updates!
Description:
Have you ever wanted a bastard sword in skyrim?
Well now you can have one with this mod. What this mod does is, it adds a copy of a few greatswords into the game and makes it 1 and a half handed. Your probably wondering what i mean by one and a half right?
Well this sword swings like a two handed weapon, but you can still use an off hand spell, shield or even weapon, and it swings at the same speed as a one handed sword but with a little more reach. It also uses the one handed skill tree so those of you who like one handed swords or weapons will think this mod is perfect for you.
Issues/Incompatibilities:
-Occasionally if you switch from a shield to an offhand spell you won't be able to attack or sheath. Fixed by loading a previous save. another fix is to activate something that would normally cause you to sheath you weapon, i.e. chair, grindstone, workbench etc.
-This one doesn't bother me but it may bother you guys, when a spell is cast in the offhand in first person view, the animation will sorta cut out, it doesn't mess up anything it just looks weird.
-May be incompatible with any mods that change two-handed attack animations though I'm not entirely sure because I haven't tested it and probably won't.
-I also just noticed after adding my video that there are a few clipping issues with shields and armor that i cannot and will not fix.
-v2.0 I just tested and noticed one minor bug, if you use it without a spell or shield in the off-hand it gets kinda glitchy so I wouldn't advise using it as the sole weapon as you cannot block with it.
v2.01 This isn't really an issue but more of an intended feature, you are only allowed to equip it in the right hand because otherwise the gme gets really screwy and doesn't recognise you have a weapon equipped.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Dowload with whichever method you prefer
2. Extract to your Skyrim/Data Directory
UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Delete the old plugin in the Skyrim/Data folder
2. Place new plugin there
3. Activate the plugin!
UNINSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Sell or drop any of the items that this plugin adds to your inventory
2. Deactivate the mod and delete the plugin from the from your Skyrim directory. (but why would you even want to?) :O
Notes:
-I would also appreciate it if you have any problems that you report it to me in the comments section as i will do my best to fix them.
-As of version 2.0 Weapons are Now craftable and temperable!
-2.1 I might add Dragonborn weapons if i get enough requests for it.
and as always i appreciate endorsements and constructive criticism.
