The other fixes didn't work for me or required a fresh save so I decided to just do it myself.
Works even if you are currently on the quest. If you are currently on the quest and the spare objective does NOT show up, you may want to reset it and the freeform skyhaven quests (blades recruiting) using the Skyrim quest deleter by seifer69er.
For 1.0:
You can complete through dialogue with Delphine, console commands no longer needed.
This will complete the quest (with the Spare objective completed), make you friends with the Blades again, Greybeards won't hate you and Paarthurnax will be made essential again.
After completion, you can begin recruiting new Blades and hunting Dragons.
Alternative Workaround A (ONLY for those who have not begun the quest The Fallen)
Quest is renamed A Potential Threat
Delphine tells you to kill Paarthurnax, quest only involves talking to her about it and completes after the conversation. There are NO changes made to factions or friendly relationships with player between either the Blades or the Greybeards but Paarthurnax is made non-essential so you can choose whether or not to kill him but it is not quest related. I think this version is preferable but it will not work if you are already on the quest.
Alternative Workaround B (ONLY for those who have not begun the quest The Fallen)
The quest is never initiated, period. Paarthurnax stays essential and the Blades don't mention him.

Installation instructions:
Pop this esp in the Data folder, load up Skyrim and make sure it's enabled and at the bottom of the load order.
If using alpha version or dialogue isn't completing quest use console commands
SetStage MQPaarthurnax 51
SetStage MQPaarthurnax 101
