I thought the Ancient Nord Armor could use a heavier look, so I added some chainmail and accented the remaining leather with some celtic-style knotwork and studding.
Refer to this link: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/26664/ to get a stand-alone version with the new textures, for CBBE and includes Bodyslide files.
Note: This only replaces the vanilla Ancient Nord Armor textures, so it can be combined with any Ancient Nord Armor mesh available for CBBE, UNP, ADEC etc. You can also rename the files if you wish to use them for the various Non-Replacer sets of Ancient Nord Armor.
Update: Revamped the female textures: Cleaned armor (no rust), smaller and better detailed chainmail, different symbol on the gauntlets and smoother leather, added some studded leather to the boots to give them some much needed awesomeness, and in general improved upon my first effort.
Installation: Version 2.0 - Inside the archive are two files. With Ornaments contains the textures that leave the chest plates visible. Without Ornaments hides the chest plates so you can see those awesome amulets!
Anyone can use this retexture for their own projects, but if you use these files specifically just mention me in the credits would ya? :o)
