About this mod

A new nature-themed player home in Falkreath. No load screen and integrated into the vanilla world.

Permissions and credits

(Please note, this mod works best if Dawnguard is installed because it uses a few DG items)

Stagburn Glen Outdoor Player House

 • No load screen. The house is integrated directly into the city and its vanilla world.

 • Built around existing beautiful falls and pools to the northwest of Falkreath’s lumber mill.

 • No new terraforming. Nothing is changed from the vanilla area except the relocation or removal of a few trees and stumps.

 • 8 mannequins in an outdoor, terraced garden space to show off your armor collections.

 • 7 display plaques and one large weapon rack.

 • Lots of storage with all new non-respawn containers set to “player owned” (so safety of items inside should be comparable to vanilla player houses).

 • Alchemy area, ingredient garden, enchanting table, chopping block, cooking area, and all blacksmithing equipment.

 • Now you can unwind in peace after your adventures. Relaxation areas include a private pub, garden and brookside benches, and a pool.

 • The living area is perched high to provide a fantastic view of the Stagburn Falls and the surrounding vistas.

 • An altar shrine that gives the “Stagburn blessing” (an 8 hour buff of +10 to health, stamina, and magika).

 • Pre-stocked trophy and artifact case reflecting an adventurer’s life in Skyrim.

 • The private pub has a collection of pub signs from around Skyrim (as well as some secret stock under the counter).

 • Many “relax idle” activities for your followers and spouse.

 • Fast travel enabled.

 • Interesting neighbors: a cranky necromancer on the next hill who needs sorting out, and a respawning ruin of leveled undead with a Word Wall (the Shriekwind Bastion).

Stagburn Glen Compatability
This mod is probably not compatible with any mod that expands the layout of Falkreath or adds any player houses on the outskirts of the city. Also please note that a few Dawnguard items were used. Duplicates were made, such as of the sundial, which may carry over even if you do not have DG, but it is probably best used if you have DG installed.

If your mannequins move around, make sure to have this mod fix installed.

A note about spouses and followers
I use UFO, Spouses Can Live Everywhere, and My Home Is Your Home to populate my home at Stagburn Glen with NPC’s and followers. It all usually works except for a few quirks:

1) It seems best to establish the follower’s new home in a central location such as the pub or the lowest platform near the wood cutting area.

2) The whole area has been newly navmeshed, but that process involves a few pesky bugs that persist because it is an outdoor world space with a new navmesh. Sometimes followers relaxing will walk into some walls or get stuck on furniture. Mostly they do ok, but every once in a while they’ll get confused. Don’t worry too much. They’ll eventually self-correct. This is as best as I can do given the limits of navmeshing anew a vanilla world space with the Creation Kit.

3) The elevated living quarters near the falls seem to be a world unto itself because it is so high, so followers “released” below it may not be able to make it all the way back up there even though it is navmeshed with a clear path. Also followers whose new home is established in the living quarters tend to spend all their time there, and don’t venture down into the Glen. You may want to root your spouse up there, and give your other followers the run of the rest of the Glen.

4) Followers who are turned loose inside the Glen should not venture outside the Glen on their own. They won’t be popping into Falkreath without you.

FYI: You don’t have to worry about falling off the high staircase to the living quarters. Invisible collision boxes on either side should protect you. However, most players will not survive a jump from the balcony to the ground. A few other collision boxes have been added to help with follower navigation.
