Keeping the mod intact wouldnt be that hard as the author made it out to be.
All we would have to do is set the CK to ignore the modified external (Tamriel) cells, find a better place to put the castle (Forgotten Vale looks fun ) and then just link the doors with the new external cell.
You can try contacting out SpiralDynasty, and see if you could get permission to continue work on there mod and move it to a new location, but SpiralDynasty hasn't been online in over a year and they are not doing anymore modding for Skyrim. If you can contact them and get permission to take over the control of the mod, that would be wonderful. It honestly would be great to see this mod brought back to life since it was a perfect castle. Especially for werewolf characters.
This was the last of what was already a thin list of decent player homes..The rest are freaking huge with loading doors galore and broken navmeshes or teleport only
I loved this mod and it's a shame Dawnguard broke it. I'd say the crash is related to the spawning of Ruunvald. I'll take a look at it in the creation kit to see if I can find a fix for the issue.
It would be great if someone could take over this mod and move it or fix the location. It was Ruunvald that caused the problems. Before the DLC I did not have any problems with this mod..
Agreed. I feel a but hypocritical to say "Can't someone just move it somewhere else and we're good to go?" because I myself am a crap modder and know very little about the process.
Wish someone would restore it though, this was a really pleasant place that didn't deserve to die.
Wow I completely forgot about this. I did take a look way back when I posted this, but couldn't fix it. Did anyone ever think of moving Ruunvald instead of the castle? I might try that soon.
I think this mod is dead. It's a great mod but crashed after Dawnguard was released. If you don't load Dawnguard it's great an everything worked fine for me.. It's too bad the creator isn't doing anything with it. I don't blame him I mean lets face it he created a great mod just to have a DLC ruin it..Oh well hope he comes back and moves the place.
Nvm, i got the mod to work. However, i can't seem to move my spouse into the castle, even after completing the quest. i just don't see the speech option. I have no spouse mods. Help?
Okay, the weirdest thing happened to me. So i was in the castle, and i accidentally used the set mark home skill from 'spouse can live anywhere' mod. i then realized that my wife didn't come to the castle. Also, i tried using the switches for the secret places, but it didn't open.
So, i deactivated 'spouse can live anywhere' mod, but the switches were still weird and stuff. In the end, i deactivated sovereign castle and activated it on NMM, thinking it'll fix the switches and reset the spouse's home. When i got to the castle compound and read the warning paper to start the quest, the quest did not start, which is weird because it worked fine the first time. I tried deactivating all my mods, redownloading the mod, but still nothing. I followed the mod description's debug and troubleshooting for the quest. Nothing worked. I'm thinking i screwed the scripts up, but i have no experience whatsoever in scripting and stuff. I hope someone can help me with this!
for some reason it just wont work for me. as i get close to it i get attacked by elk for some reason. if i get close i can see the front gate away from the wall then my game just shuts down. no black screen, no errors. it just shuts down. kinda funny lol still trying to figure out why a elk attacked me. and another odd part is that i am level 20 and having a bit of a hard time killing it. its not really hurting me it just WONT die

I wish I had the skills to move it but I really suck at the CK. Besides, I dubt Spiral even pays attention to this anymore. Sadly
