I was trying to do an update for DrowRace to fix mounted combat and dawnguard bugs. Long story short, I couldn't do it. So, I simply remade it using the latest patch. The new race is named DrowElfRace (the original is DrowRace). So you can load them together and change races if you need to. This was alot easier to create thanks to the Race Menu mod that is out. Now all the black skin vs. gray skin debaters will both be happy. I recommend changing the skin color LAST, after all other changes are made.

I combined night vision with detect life, esentally Darkvision. Given that Drow on the surface have trouble using this, I left the detect life magicka cost. I also altered they way Faerie Fire works, it is now a cosmetic change to Fear. Also, Globe of Darkness is now a cosmetic change to Frenzy. Both spells have upgrades available at the forge under misc. Drow start with the lowest tier of both spells. I also took the advice of some of you who posted and removed the poison/disease resistances. I also tweeked the starting skill bonuses a little. (+5 to Alchemy, Enchanting, Illusion, Light Armour, One Handed, Smithing, and Sneak ... total of +35 like vanilla races.)

I didn't create any Drizzt gear this time. You can smith/enchant better gear easy enough. I tend to use magicka sabers anyway. Hmm... Drizzt Do'Urden, Jedi Knight!

This is simply the greatest character creation mod ever! This allows you to use any colors for any body part, or have multiple tatoos of different colors. I would advise changing the body color last, after making all other changes. This will help to stop the head/body color differences. DrowElfRace.esp doesn't have any skin tones outside of DarkElf defaults.

Note - the way armour works in this game you will be using Dunmer resources. I recommend either Unique Bodies or the Drows of Morrowind mods to cover this. (I use both)

Also - I added Drow to the Elf form lists, so any mod that adds to all elves will show up for Drow (like Appachi Hairs)

I lowered the height to .95 for females and .9 for males. (Drow females are larger than males and Drow are the shortest elven race).

Drow Weakness to Sunlight - A Drow's Health, Magicka, and Stamina recover to a slower (20%) extent while exposed to Sunlight. Unlike vampires there is no lowering of attributes, merely slower regeneration. Drow aren't physically harmed by the sun like vampires are, merely annoyed by it.

Drow Resistance - 25% Resistance to Disease, Magic & Poison.

Darkvision - Drow have a Lesser Power that grants Night Eye. Lowered duration to 30s.
Faerie Fire - Same as Magelight but I made everything I could purple. I left this as a spell instead of a lesser power because it is only a color change. 30s
Globe of Darkness - Same as Magelight but colored black. I raised the radius to 20. I don't believe this will hinder mobs at all, in fact since it is 'light' it may make you easier to spot. 30s

I changed the duration to be 6 hours. This matches the books as they are 12 hours out of every 48. I also added another figurine to a corpse just outside Helgen. Also added Twinkle and Iceingdeath.
