Just in the unlikely case you still support this: I have this issue where it will start ok in a given area, working as intended and all, then it will get bright, as in blindingly white-hot bright, and stay that way. Any ideas what may be causing the issue, and more importantly how to fix this without losing every single savegame from after installing this?
I have run into this too, deactivate night eye (make sure it's daytime and bright), save, disable mod, load, change zone (fast travel, carriage ride, go indoors/outdoors), save, re-enable mod... that should fix it
Great Mod, I had a hard time in ENB darkness for a while and this mod works great and just fine so far. I know you abandoned this mod,but thanks for making it anyway
I'm sorry, I don't work on this mod anymore. I hope someone else picks it up where I left of if they want to improve it. Chances are this mod does not work with most lighting mods like climates of tamriel.
Please remove the mod from nexusmods. I don't think I ever had a mod that consistently crashed NMM when I tried to deactivate or delete it.
Fortunately I never had the ring, I was never even in the same cell as a ring so I hope I didn't corrupt my savegames. Still, NMM lists the mod as active but cannot get rid of it.
It sounds like you have something else going on there. It could be a conflict with another mod. The ring shouldn't corrupt your save game. There are a billion things that could go wrong with your setup, it doesn't have to be this mod's fault.
You could try reinstalling NMM. I never used it so I don't know anything about it.
If you really think this mod is a menace just tell the mods to check it out. I don't really care if it gets removed, it's not my pride and joy or anything, it's just a thing I did once.
I have no problems with this mod, the problem must be somewhere in your mods setup, or NMM itself... Most of the problems I encounter in NMM are resolved by downloading and reinstalling it. Have you tried anything like that before posting here, or did you just jump into this forum after NMM CTD'd on you? Nothing in your post gives any information usefull to anyone that would even be willing to help you out.
PS: I find the way you report a (possible) bug offensive, instead of demanding its removal, you could have stated your problem and asked for help, I am sure it would have been given, or is this to polite for your taste?
I have just done a few tests so far, but this seems to be doing a better job than Predator Vision of providing good night vision with changing light levels from using Realistic Lighting Overhaul Weathers. I like the effects, and lower impact over Climates of Tameriel, but was having trouble with the fact that a cloudy or stormy night would be much darker than a clear or partly night, and light sources could get blinding when adjusted for darker levels. This was a big concern for playing as a werewolf. This mod auto-activated fine as a werewolf, and worked with the lesser power as a khajiit. I have not tested it with a vampire yet, nor for extended game play.
Just a quick note to second that this works better than Predator Vision's adaptive night eye.
I am using Climates of Tamriel, Requiem, and Vampiric Thirst + Compatibility mod, and this Adaptive Night Eye "mostly works". There are odd moments when vision goes quite dark, but that hasn't been very common.
With that said, note that this mod seems to, for some reason, conflict a bit with the above mods. My vampire got stuck outside during sun rise and began to take sun damage. I then quickly entered a cave, but the vamp character continued to take sun damage and burn up. I was able to cancel Adaptive Night Eye by using the actual vampire's night vision. Once cancelled the sun damage and burning flames both stopped. All seems well now, knock on wood.
Does this work of modded races like Dagi'raht? To clarify it is set so that in game recognizes it as a khajiit. So will it work as a khajiit base, or do I need to use the console? Apparently when the race as a lesser skill named "Night Eye", it may not be the right one.
An intriguing idea, but its detection for when to adapt seems a bit strange. Perfect, pitch-black darkness inside a dungeon, and nothing happens. However, standing outside at around 06:00, every five steps triggers the adaptive sight.
Besides that, attempting to uninstall the mod (After disabling the power in-game) leads my save to crash upon loading. This save has been stable for around 100h, so I don't think it's due to the other mods that I run.
