A note from the author
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While many unarmed mods are very extensive and allow us to perform wild and wonderful tricks, this mod is for people like me who prefer minimalism and compatibility in my mods. By the time this mod is finished it will make unarmed combat a 100% viable option for your characters in very understated, lore friendly and totally compatible way that won't require you to get to grips with YET ANOTHER game-play mechanic that was not part of the original design balance.

Plan's of the future
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the next version:

I will be expanding the fists of fury perk slightly to include expanded unarmed damage, and potentially a way to improve your light armor skill by fighting with your fists.

I will also be including a new perk that will allow the player to dodge attacks in a similar format presented by the deft movement perk

Planned features:

In addition to the perk's added i will be creating a lore friendly quest that will compliment the use of martial arts and focus on following in the footstep's of previous masters in the search for their relics to unlock your hidden potential.

Completion list
Perk Tree - 50%
Quest 10%

1. What this mod does
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This mod add's a new perk branch to the light armor tree that aims to make unarmed combat realistic, playable and fun. This description is a bit out-dated and i will update it in the near future.

'Fists of fury' adds a light armor perk very similar to the 'Fists of steel' Perk to the light armor skill tree letting you use your light armor gauntlets to increase your unarmed damage.

In the same way the fists of steel perk only adds a limited amount of base damage regardless of the actual armor rating of the gauntlets for balance reasons the fists of fury perk works on a similar system.

HOWEVER.

Rather than just use the base armor value for damage output i have modified the values slightly to represent something a little bit more realistic as well. For example hide bracers are gonna give you an extra damage output of 0 whereas dragonscale gauntlets are going to give you a base unarmed damage of 17.

2. Compatibility
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CURRENTLY DOES NOT WORK WITH ARMORS ADDED BY MODS. HOWEVER I AM LOOKING FOR A WORK AROUND AT THE MOMENT AND WILL UPDATE YOU WHEN I FIND SOMETHING

Other than that there should be no issues. If any conflicts are found please leave a comment and i'll get on it.

3. Installation
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I reccomend using the Nexus mod manager for installation

Simply click the 'download with mod manager' button and let the mod manager do the work for you. Double click the mod once its downloaded and you'll be ready to go!

Manual Installation without NMM

Locate the Data/ folder in your Skyrim installation directory. Typically it's found at Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/skyrim/Data/.

Extract the contents of the downloaded archive file to your Data/ folder. If you are asked to overwrite anything, confirm it.
