About this mod

This preset EXCLUSIVELY reproduces the well achieved Bokeh Depth of Field effect from ENBSeries. Basically, all other visual technologies are disabled. See the screenshots with fps displayed for a quick comparison between Vanilla Skyrim and this preset enabled. There is almost no difference, except the Bokeh DOF effect of course.

Enb preset - Original-Vanilla colors and lighting for Independent Bokeh DOF Only

As some may have noticed, I am not much present in the community anymore.
So please refer to the Readme or the comments below BEFORE POSTING!!!

Introduction
============
On the Nexus, many presets merge ENBSeries with mods that alter the general look of the game.
Here are some of these popular visual mods in no precise order: FXAA Post Process Injector, RCRN, RLwC, IMAGINATOR, URWL, etc..
One particular problem is that these are meant to be standalone modifications. (IMAGINATOR being the only exception, though.)
If someone likes the changes from one specific mod, he cannot obtain a DOF effect without indirect visual alterations.

For the moment, the only known alternative to this issue is Dynavision.
While it is surely good from the performance perspective, it is not yet smooth and STABLE.
This preset, however, EXCLUSIVELY reproduces the well achieved Bokeh Depth of Field effect from ENBSeries.

Before Continuing
=================
Note that my native language is not English. So I would appreciate if anyone out here could invest some time to PM me if any description/meaning is not well presented/explained.
Thank you for your comprehension. ;)

Description
===========
"What does it do?"
Basically, all other visual technologies are disabled.
See the screenshots with fps displayed for a quick comparison between Vanilla Skyrim and this preset enabled.
There is almost no difference, except the Bokeh DOF effect of course.

"How does it work?"
Unwanted persistent visual alterations (any noticeable color and lighting variations applied when toggling ENBSeries) are dealt with by RESETTING all involved properties every time the game launches in order to make it look like it is default/untouched/vanilla (whatever the exact term is).

"Why would I want the DOF effect only and ignore the rest of the features from ENBSeries?"
This preset shares the same main feature than Dynavision: the advantage to separate it from any color and lighting variations, shaders, HDR, SSAO and other graphical technologies.
In other words, it allows everyone to obtain a smooth and STABLE DOF effect without having to worry about properly blending all effects from two or more visual mods.
Finally, it gives better chances to be satisfied by the graphics while still having decent performances.

Modsssss Present On The Screenshots
===================================
1.STEP - Skyrim Total Enhancement Project by TheCompiler
(Without RLwC and the FXAA preset (iCCC) in order to test the preset on Vanilla Skyrim)
(I totally recommend this one. It is the perfect overhaul. This mod has its own community website to help newcomers and keep Skyrim updated with the best mods around, even those beyond the Nexus.)

2.ENBSeries v0.102 Tatsudoshi

3.The Bokeh Depth of Field effect tweaked by Matso

Manual Install
==============
1.Extract the two files in the game folder (where TESV.exe lies).

2.If it is not already done, set the attributes of the enbseries.ini file to "Read-only"

3.Download ENBSeries on the official website. (See Credits below for useful links.)
Then, extract the following files from the archive to the game folder according to the chosen version.

v0.102: only the d3d9.dll file is required.
(If you plan on using any other mod that uses an identical file, see the [PROXY] section in the enbseries.ini file.)

v0.103/105/106: only the three ENBInjector.exe, enbinjector.ini and enbseries.dll files are required.

4.To get the Bokeh DOF effect (It is the main purpose of this preset!); search for one on the Nexus.
ONLY THE enbeffectprepass.fx FILE IS REQUIRED. It is where this effect is mostly coded.
(I recommend the optional Vanilla one from Matso, which is used for the screenshots.)

Essential Information
=====================
1.To adjust the fade time of the DOF effect, tweak the last property in the enbseries.ini file.

3.If the enbseries.ini file is modified, make sure that its attributes are set back to "Read-only" to avoid a new generated code by ENBSeries.

4.DO NOT OVERWRITE THIS PRESET when updating ENBSeries or installing a particular DOF effect.

5.The enbbloom.fx and enbpalette.bmp files are not required. Both can be deleted.

6.It is not required to set the bFloatPointRenderTarget property to 1 in the SkyrimPrefs.ini file.
It is actually preferable to leave it to default.

7.ENBSeries v0.108 is obviously not compatible with this preset.

Manual Uninstall
================
1.Delete all above-mentioned files.

Incompatibility
===============
1.All presets that overwrite the included one.

Known Issues or Bugs
====================
1.The obvious main issue is the one that has always been present in ENBSeries: inevitable performance loss.

2.So far, the only noticeable difference is a tiny darker night, making stars a tiny less visible.
BUT, as seen on the screenshots, it is still hard to notice.
(Note that, depending on the enbeffectprepass.fx file used, some indirect visual effects may be applied through it.
It is possible to code more than just a DOF effect in this file, as specified by Boris)

3.(It is up to you to find the others!) ;)

Notes
=====
1.Bugs related to ENBSeries itself are not supported here. See the official forum.

Personal Opinion Regarding Future Updates
=========================================
I will only update if any tweaks related to performance can be done.
And these modifications will mostly come from your feedback.
So if you want this preset to get better, tweak it, test it, then tweak it again, then test it again and report in the comments section!
