Advanced Destruction - 15 Destruction Spells Upgraded for High Level Characters + 22 Brand New Destruction and Conjuration Spells. Now includes a new Underground Lair with a full set of crafting equipment, new NPC merchants, safe storage, and player owned furniture including a bed.

This mod adds 15 upgraded versions of the vanilla destruction spells, along with 22 brand new spells. The main idea is to give better variety to high-level mage players. It does not overwrite or change any of the default spells. Version 3.0 adds an Underground Lair with 2 new Merchant NPCs, crafting equipment, safe storage, and player owned furniture and bedding.

Newer versions have some significant changes, please read the install notes if you are updating from version 2.5 or lower.



Remastered Destruction:

-Advanced Flames/Frostbite/Sparks (Adept): Damage increased from 8 to 24
-Advanced Flame/Frost/Shock Cloak (Expert): Damage increased from 8 to 24
-Advanced Flame/Frost/Shock Rune (Expert): Damage increased from 50 to 100
-Advanced Fireball/Ice Storm/Chain Lightning (Master): Damage increased from 40 to 80
-Advanced Incinerate/Icy Spear/Thunderbolt (Master): Damage increased from 60 to 100


New Destruction:

-Extreme Sparks (Adept): Does 8 Damage/sec, hits all targets within 10 feet of impact
-Advanced Extreme Sparks (Master): Does 24 Damage/sec, hits all targets within 10 feet of impact
-Extreme Flames (Adept): Does 8 Damage/sec, hits all targets in a 20 degree cone, short range.
-Advanced Extreme Flames (Master): Does 24 Damage/sec, hits all targets in a 20 degree cone, short range.
-Extreme Frostbite (Adept): Does 8 Damage/sec, hits all targets in a 20 degree cone, short range.
-Advanced Extreme Frostbite (Master): Does 24 Damage/sec, hits all targets in a 20 degree cone, short range.

-Fire Bomb (Expert): Arcing projectile that explodes in a 15 foot radius, knocking targets down and doing 10 Fire Damage/sec for 6 seconds.
-Ice Bomb (Expert): Arcing projectile that explodes in a 15 foot radius, knocking targets down and doing 10 Frost Damage/sec for 6 seconds.
-Shock Bomb (Expert): Arcing projectile that explodes in a 15 foot radius, knocking targets down and doing 10 Shock Damage/sec for 6 seconds.

-Combust (Expert): Fast moving projectile that does 8 Fire Damage/sec for 10 seconds to a single target. Casting is silent.
-Electrify (Expert): Fast moving projectile that does 8 Shock Damage/sec for 10 seconds to a single target. Casting is silent.
-Glaciate (Expert): Fast moving projectile that does 8 Frost Damage/sec for 10 seconds to a single target. Casting is silent.

-Destructive Bolt (Adept): Does 50 damage to a single target, knocking them down briefly and demoralizing them for 15 seconds. Ignores magical and elemental resistances. Not affected by Augmented [Element] Perks.
-Advanced Destructive Bolt (Master): Does 150 damage to a single target, knocking them down briefly and demoralizing them for 15 seconds. Ignores magical and elemental resistances. Not affected by Augmented [Element] Perks.
-Destructive Blast (Adept): Does 50 damage in a 15 foot radius, knocking targets down briefly and demoralizing them for 15 seconds. Ignores magical and elemental resistances. Not affected by Augmented [Element] Perks.
-Advanced Destructive Blast (Master): Does 100 damage in a 15 foot radius, knocking targets down briefly and demoralizing them for 15 seconds. Ignores magical and elemental resistances. Not affected by Augmented [Element] Perks.


New Conjuration:

-Spectral Arrow (Adept): Summon a Spectral Projectile that does 50 damage and knocks down the target on impact.
-Advanced Spectral Arrow (Master): Summon a Spectral Projectile that does 100 damage and knocks down the target on impact.

-Conjure Dire Wolf (Apprentice): Conjures a level 10 Dire Wolf to fight by your side for 60 seconds.
-Conjure Sabre Cat (Adept): Conjures level 20 Sabre Cat to fight by your side for 60 seconds.
-Conjure Vampire (Expert): Conjures a level 40 Vampire to fight by your side for 60 seconds.
-Conjure Deathlord (Master): Conjures a level 60 Draugr Deathlord to fight by your side for 60 seconds.



Ancient Underground Lair:

-Main entrance is located just behind the Whiterun Stables, back entrance is located under the stairs at Whitewatch Tower.
-Full suite of crafting equipment located on the main floor, with plenty of safe storage near each workstation.
-Bedroom with player owned furniture, including a bed, wardrobes, nightstands, chests, and a bookcase.
-Crafting rooms and cave area have lights that can be turned on and off with switches.
-All wall mounted torches are interactive and removable.
-New Merchant NPC Yoren sells a large selection of Mage, Alchemist, and miscellaneous gear.
-New Merchant NPC Aria sells all the Spell Tomes included in the mod.



Acquiring the new spells:

-Purchase: Head to the Ancient Lair near Whiterun and purchase them from the Vampire Aria. Apprentice Tomes have a base value of 250, Adept Tomes have a base value of 500, Expert Tomes have a base value of 750, and Master Tomes have a base value of 1000.

-Crafting: All of the Spell Tomes included in this pack can be crafted using vanilla Spell Tomes and Soul Gems. To get started, head to any Cookpot (it helps if you think of it as a cauldron) with the correct ingredients. The Spell tomes will only show up in the crafting list if you have the appropriate base ingredient (the vanilla Spell Tome) and if you meet necessary perk and/or skill requirements.

Installation Notes:

New Installs: Extract the contents of the archive to your Skyrim/data folder, and make sure you agree to any folder merge operations. Activate the .esp from the Skyrim launcher.

Updating to v3.0 - Option 1 (Recommended): Same instructions as above, but the file name has changed. Make sure you manually remove the old "AdvancedDestruction.esp" because it will NOT be overwritten. If you want to keep the old .esp around for some reason, you can leave it in place as long as you deactivate it from the Skyrim launcher. Do NOT run both versions at the same time. This is the easier method, but you'll have to relearn whatever spells you already had from the mod.

Updating to v3.0 - Option 2: Extract the new .esp to the skyrim/data folder. Delete the old .esp, then rename the new version to "AdvancedDestruction.esp". Then change the two destination folders to the same name. This will allow you to keep your progress, but the FaceGen data may not work properly, and it could result in other oddities being baked into your save.

Updating to v3.2:
The Main file contains only the ESP, just overwrite your older version with this one. A clean save is recommended, but not required.

Updating to v3.2 - The Extras:
Strongly recommended, but not required. This optional file contains the FaceGen data for Aria and Yoren, along with the script needed for the manual light switches. The mod will function without the extras, but the merchants faces won't look quite right, and the light switches in the Ancient lair will not work. If you are using the extras, a clean save and install is required for the lights to work correctly.

To Uninstall: Deactivate from the launcher, delete the .esp from the skyrim/data folder, delete the JSB folders added to Meshes/.../FaceGeom and Textures/.../FaceTint, delete LightSwitch.pex from skyrim/data/scripts.



Optional File: Unrelenting Spells

This adds three new (and very overpowered) spells based on the Unrelenting Force shout. Long term plan is to convert quite a few more, but for now this file doesn't need its own page. Buy the tomes from the Riverwood Trader, for about 100-200 gold each.
