Details
=======
This mod adds Thief-series style water arrows to extinguish light sources. For those not familiar with Thief: The Dark Project, these arrows allow you to extinguish certain lights, lowering the level of illumination and making it a bit easier to sneak.

When fired, these arrows trigger a script which looks for the nearest object that qualifies as a dousable light (torches, candles, fires, anything you could reasonably expect to be doused by a splash of water). It then looks for the nearest light to that object within a limited radius and disables it. If the light emitter found has a corresponding unlit version (e.g. a fire and a pile of embers) it replaces it with that object (otherwise the original is left there).
After 12 hours of game time lights will return to normal. Also, using any fire based spell or ability on an extinguished light will relight it.

Known Issues or Bugs
====================
- There are occasionally multiple light emitters right next to each other, at the moment the mod will only replace one of them with the unlit version, leaving the others still lit.

- Unfortunately Skyrim, at least the official content, is not really designed with this kind of feature in mind. There isn't a 1:1 correspondence between light emitter meshes and the actual light effects (so you could have five torches along a wall but only one light effect for them all). So, if you encounter a light that won't go out there are a number of possibilities. The first is that there isn't a light effect in range, that the light emitter is just for show and doesn't affect any lighting. Also, if there is no unlit version of the object it won't change when hit by the water arrow splash, but it should still disable any nearby light. This is still a WIP so if you do encounter any lights that don't go out (and the previous described cases don't apply) please let me know.

History
=======
1.0, 2012/8/8
- Arrows now reliably appear at a wider range of vendors (see above for list)
- Added a bunch of new unlit emitter meshes, most candle-type light sources should actually look extinguished now.

0.4, 2012/5/11
- Added to vendor lists.
- Extinguished torches can be relit by using any fire based spell or ability (e.g. Flames Spell or Fire Breath shout).

0.3, 2012/4/25 - Trying out a new explosion effect.

0.2, 2012/4/22 - Added timer to relight light sources extinguished by water arrows. After 12 hours of game time any extinguished light sources should return to normal.
