Why this save manager? It is simple to use and easy to install! This program requires almost nothing from the user except a character name. This program is constantly being updated and support for this program is fast because I update every day!
If you're like me then you have multiple characters and tons of saves! That became a mess fast so I built this small program to run in the background and clean things up! One of the coolest things is the fact that it backs up every save you make! That's cool, because you don't have to worry about corrupt saves anymore!
[UPDATE] 11/26/2011 - Tested and confirmed working on Windows 7 64bit, Windows 7 32bit, Windows Vista 32bit and I'm moving on to both 32 and 64 XP, and Vista x64 as well.
[UPDATE]11/25/2011 - Latest version 2.8.7 fixes the desktop and start menu shortcut link errors pointed out by AlmightyKramer. Thank you again for the help! Also fixes a few minor detail glitches like displaying unimportant backups and so forth. Hope you guys enjoy!
[UPDATE]11/24/2011-Latest version 2.8 has been released! This version now has the ability to start when windows starts! This combined with the minimize to system tray function means you don't have to start it every time you want to play! Now just let it run quietly in the background and it's ready when you need it! Also added backup recovery option in case you wanted to load from a previous backup! [EDIT] - Just posted a SSM(Skyrim Save Manager) instructions file to give everyone a full understanding of how to use this program!
[UPDATE]11/23/2011-New version 2.7 comes with system tray icon and minimization! Also the system tray icon contains the option to change the character name! Added the load bar and made the program lockup free! Hope you enjoy!
[UPDATE] New version released! Much more stable! No more lockups! Please remember to uninstall the old version before installing this one or errors may still occur! :)
Bugs -
Only known bug is that when you die you don't auto load back to your last save. Instead just manually load from it. It can be easily fixed by not changing the name of the save, but the shorter file name is cleaner and easier to pick out. If it is a big deal then let me know and I can change it.
