Here's a great new mod anyone using a custom house should check out: Spouses Can Live Anywhere

Captain William Drakehelm was a mysterious figure who showed up around Dragon Bridge seemingly out of nowhere in the early spring of 4E 192. He purchased a beautiful plot of land along the river just below the falls, and the townsfolk were abuzz at the prospect of being employed in the construction of the home.
The Captain ruffled some feathers, to say the least, when he brought in his own large crew of rough characters to handle the job. Adding insult to injury, the workers camped up on the property and never spent the first piece of gold in town. Rumors flew as construction dragged on and on...a year passed, and then two. What in the world could have been taking so long?!
And then...as suddenly as the workers' tent city had appeared, it was gone. A beautiful house now stood up on the slopes, although no one could figure why the idiot had faced it away from town. And where was the Captain, anyway? It was as if the earth had swallowed him up without a trace.

I HIGHLY recommend picking up the following addons to get the nicest experience out of Drakehelm possible. If my screenshots look different than your screen, it's because of one of the following:
Elements from the wonderful "Sexy" series of texture packs are scattered throughout. Virtually all architectural elements of the house (inside and out) will be affected by "Sexy Villages and Towns." The others show up in a very limited capacity, but are all worth having as they make the cities look beautiful.

Sexy Whiterun by horrorview
Sexy Winterhold by horrorview
Sexy Windhelm by horrorview
Sexy Riften by horrorview
This is one of my favorite simple little mods, and I had it enabled while developing and testing the Grotto. I spent quite a bit of time getting the underwater areas just right, so if you want to experience it as intended make sure to get ClearWater
ClearWater by LittleRaptor
This is a silly little texture replacer I made for mannequins because I hate the vanilla look. Skipping this one will make very little difference, but here it is:
Dark Leather Mannequins
