About this image

Ann was a quiet soul, never one for making hasty decisions or saying something that she hadn't had time to think through first, yet for once that didn't matter. With the topic at hand one she was too well versed in to be anything but certain off.

"Why aren't you asleep, its so late! And..." Hrefna queried, only pausing as if her next words could be dangerous, "...it's stormy, haven't you noticed?"
It was a fair point, sitting outside in a thunderstorm was probably a strange thing to do by normal standards, but that was the whole point.
"I'm meditating."
A lightning bolt struck the ground only two metres away, frightening Hrefna easily. Childhood curiosity got the better of her, staying to understand how Ann hadn't so much as flinched yet alone begun running as she had.
"You must be really brave" she complimented, taking a spot nearby to warm herself against the fire, oddly strong in such a downpour, but then the trees of Skyrim were incredible once they got lit, they literally burned for hours.
"Calm, that's a better description. I am getting wet, yet the fire is drying me, therefore the rain does not bother me. The lightning stuck the ground yet it did not hit me, so why should I be scared? My people are rare in these lands, yet the moon is the same one so I feel warm inside, keeping out the cold even if I am alone. That is why I sit here now, being calm helps you stay focused on what really matters."
Hrefna thought for a moment, then replied, "I'm out late at night, yet I am calm because I have good company."
Ann smiled at her, she had good company too.
