   Actually it seems AOAmount only makes the problem more noticeable. It doesn't seem to cause it. Pff.
   
   The higher your fneardistance is (Skyrim.ini) the farther you are removed from objects, and they will start to clip. That also influences blurring in DoF. Both FOV-dependent, as in high FOV, is closer clipping. Low FOV and you can get really close without clipping.
   
   EDIT: Might also be modded hair? But that wouldn't explain why I get this problem under some conditions, and not others.

   I was worried it might be that, Midhras. It took a loooong time to get my AO and IL values where I wanted them, and I hope I don't have to veer too far afield to get the hair issue fixed.
   
   Jackal326, I've had something that's probably related to your problem: I tend to clip through near objects when they're still a lot farther away from the camera than I'd expect. There are some ini tweaks related to Near objects that I might change to see if they counteract it. I haven't had any trouble with DoF triggering on me yet.

   I've also noticed with v112 that my DOF is way out of whack and everything blurs regardless of whether its in focus or not if I'm quite close to it. It might be a setting, but if I were to try and take either of the screenshots you have above, I can guarantee they'd turn out blurry, so I've since reverted back to Tatsudoshi's v102.
   
   Sorry I can't hep with the hair issue too.
