Late is better than never. ... Now I found the silence to enjoy this chapter. So many small fantastic deatils and ideas in this epic battle scenery ... so fantastic staged large groups of warriors in and outside of Whiterund and the town inhabitants inside the inn. The number ods the arrows I never saw before ... indeed like a strong shower of rain ..
You did again a masterly chapter. and I will go and read the next part instantly

Thank you very much! I made a single mesh with a bunch of arrows in it, then dropped a bunch and moved them around. Would have been impossible one arrow at a time

Great story, wade. I love the part and images with Braith, the child is growing up. And so many other seriously grand effects, like that rain of arrows.

Thanks! Braith doesn't have anyone to pick on anymore so she beats up the dummy now

Very epic main image, that looks great so so do all the shots really, I love the creativity what people can come up with when they try put an idea to paper or PC, it really pushes the imagination and what can be done with what was a limited game but modders and others have give so much creation to it. great work really awesome

Thanks, and I completely agree. The only thing that got me to build my first PC ever was seeing mods for this game, and wondering if I could get more than the one and a half playthroughs I did on PS3. The thousands of hours people have spent to make all these mods is the only thing making all this possible.

I don't know how much time you needed for that, but I'm tired just thinking about it...
The main image would be a nuclear bomb for my pc, and I don't have the words for the scene with the arrows... Colossal work you did again !

Thanks! Made a mesh in Nifskope for the arrows (50 total so it was easier to place that many). I might make a little tutorial on how I did that, as the same idea can be tried on so many other types of shots.

There is most definitely a touch of Cecil B DeMille about you, my friend, a fantastic story with a cast of thousands...almost!

It must have taken you ages to set up, great works!

Many thanks! Had to look him up on Wikipedia and it said something about epic scale, which is something I aspire to do as I continue to learn new things to try. It used to take a lot longer to do images like this, but I've been able to pre-plan better and it has saved a ton of time and wasted effort.

That cast feels a bit overwhelming at times, and some are being neglected which hopefully gets remedied in the future

Many thanks! Luckily both my CPU and GPU have good water cooling

But more thanks for all the great patches and crash fixes here on the Nexus to make a stable enough game to try such things

That's some crazy action going on there Wade, captured perfect, the one with the arrows (I had to look twice) and the main image is superb, I then had to scroll back and forth to read the epic storyline and take in the rest of the great captures ... awesome works

Thanks! I'm glad I experimented with the arrows in Nifskope, and was able to make a large mesh full of them to make it easier to do in game.

Well, let me start with this: R.I.P Heimskr...damn, it's so peaceful around the statue now, even with all the action happening around

All the work in this set is simply HUGE, you better leave your computer off few hours so both CPU/GPU steam off. As for the volleys, what a patience you have.

And for a moment, I saw some Jedi trick in Serana.

Just impressive Wade, now civil war at full scare has started, peons are advancing on your chessboard...this is going to be a rough ride.

    Wow!

Yeah, poor guy would have been happy for this to happen, and look where it got him

With sets like this, I have to uninstall my grass mods to avoid huge framerate issues, especially scenes where I need Open Cities installed to get the effect I want. Still got pretty hairy trying to place the last twenty or so soldiers. For the volley, I created a mesh in Nifskope that contained several dozen arrows spread out evenly so the process of making those images was a lot easier in game (mesh took about 20 minutes and the setup in game was about 20 more). Would have been ridiculous to try that with single arrow drops

Serana does enjoy her vampire powers quite a bit, and will surely need it soon enough. Hopefully, I can get this entire thing done in two or three more chapters.

Nice work on the battle scenes Wade. This was a rather intense chapter with so much going on. The battles, the emotions of the characters, the plans to protect the city, the plots of the DB and the Thalmor, and so much more happening all at the same time. Will be great to see where this goes. Was holding my breath waiting to see what happened ... but then the story ended :p

Thanks! Finally back to trying out these scenes I've had in my head for a long time, and seeing if it can be done close to what I imagine. This is one of those that will have so many images and whatnot that it will get spread out a bit, hopefully it can be done in three or four chapters which I am making the images for all at once. Biggest problem I have right now is too many things going on, and trying to find the right order for events and not leave a hole somewhere.
