   Well, birdo would of course decide to fly away immediately after me making that comment. Went to feed him, opened the door afterwards to let him go out and he just flew off. We'll see if he comes back again, but if not then I guess he's ready to go.

   Edit 8/1/2017 : He's been gone for a couple of days now. It's a weird thing. It's what we hoped for but... I dunno, it's still sad.
