They call him.... dovahkiin

I've heard tales of the dragonborn before... you didn't hear them much in cyrodill, all anyone ever talked about was the damned war..... i've heard there is another one.... the first seen for an era or more. When I was back in Solitude last week, some thalmor agents approached me. They heard I was a sword for hire, one of the best outside of skyrim, since i was actually rather new here I didn't have much of a name in skyrim yet. When I asked them what they wanted, they said they had need of someone that could hunt down an elusive target, that i'd get an immense amount of septims out of it. They led me to another room and simply lay a book in front of me. I asked them if they were joking, but they were very serious. "we need someone no one knows here yet, someone they wouldn't know yet. Someone our superiors don't know about or we'd do it ourselves This dragonborn is a menace and a danger to us and the empire." I told them I don't hunt legends, keep your dirty drakes you elves. "Well now that's a shame. Well, we have a problem here then. I mean what would your daughter think, for her father to not come home to her.... or maybe if she weren't home for her father to find."  
"You.... you wouldn't."
"Oh yes we would. You do understand we have been tracking you for quite a while now. Word travels of your exploits through the empire. A young legionare who left the army to become a wandering mercenary and raise a child. The empire using him as a hired blade so they don't have to get their hands dirty. They might not think much of it, but to us you are a traitor to the empire still, and we won't accept it. So you have choice. Either find the dragonborn and bring him to us dead or alive... or we punish you and your family."


The beginning of my series for The Traveler in Skyrim.  The Thalmor have brought him aside knowing of his past and what his use is to the empire and is forcing him to hunt down the dragonborn himself. Of course in this position right now, he has no choice but to accept the corrupt thalmor agent's deal or pay with either his daugther's blood or his own. But will he really become a dragonborn hunter, or will his point of view and mission change once he finds them?
