Really liked the dragon priest images in this one
It felt tragical even while playing this session, because as I wrote in my reply to Josh, I really had the feeling they both would make it through Valthume. It was just as if they had some power binding them together as the defeated tons of high-leveled enemies - the power of love even - but at the end fate mocked them (or me)...
Telyan is in Hammerfell at the moment, but I'm taking a break with his further travels. I've done four rather big sets with him in a short period of time already...and I've got tons of other characters calling for my attention...
The dragon priest shot came out very nicely indeed!
Nonetheless a great set, my friend.
Well, I've always had a "soft heart" for bad endings or darker themes. Maybe I've read too many heroic deeds in the fantasy genre, but in my own writing the outcome of the "heroes" (if even heroes) are often more unpredictable. It comes from my past of a pen'n'paper-roleplayer I suppose. We had to learn how to deal with death of our beloved once quite early...
Thank you very much, Eva!
It was also a very emotional experience. I've never really dealt with love before in any of my Skyrim "short tales" and to bring it inside the dark and horrifying tomb of Valthume felt a bit...extraordinary at first. But the longer I venture and the more the two characters prevailed against foes way too high in level for them, a glimmer of hope started to burn inside me. I actually thought they should make it together, so Telyans feelings about Sako were more of a statement of my own joy for seeing them come true...until that very last evil Deathlord Draugr. I had to ran away from him to survive, yet I managed to get what was needed from this room. And Sako died...
Sometimes this game write it's own stories. That's the main reason for me doing all these travel sets. They change the story and the tale once intended, and I like to adjust my words regarding to the fate of the characters/followers...
Thank you kindly for your comment, Josh!
This is a great tomb, but it's fierce and dangerous, especially when running around with a lvl 12 character...
The writing just had to be a bit more expanded for this set, since the outcome is of great importance for the character Telyan...
