About this image

Doing a bit of a side-project after all my time in caves. Always wanted to do a tree-house, and while I have a lot of ideas in my head, it's hard to really pin them down.

This is a first look at the kitchen area. I like the jauntiness of the stove-pipe, and I think I should continue making the whole thing a bit more skewed. It's way too tidy right now, but it's just alpha and placeholder stuff.

The tree that goes through the house might have its bark removed on the inside-section, and I might make a new ladder that consists of individual planks nailed to the trunk, like a children's treehouse.

Next to the tree will be the bed area, which will be super-compact with a wide drawer underneath the bed, and bookshelves that run all the way across the wall.

On the top floor I will have a tiny, secondary room that will be a very cramped workroom for enchanting and alchemy, with a door that leads out to a terrass, where I will have an outdoor seating area, a garden (probably made from big crates) and a "mushroom"-planter, that you can open and close depending on how much light you want the mushrooms to get.

The mushrooms will probably be fixed, though I will see if I can make it an actual hearthfire-planter, and just name that structure "mushroom farm", leaving it up to players to decide how to use it.

The downstairs outdoor will be very minimal; basically just a narrow walkway that holds a chair, a tiny table, some binoculars and a cup of tea/coffee, and maybe some notes. I'm thinking of maybe putting a bird-stand for message-by-bird-service, though it would just be for aesthetics.

The whole house will be made with the tree going through the house and supporting it from underneath with massive beams. The way I build it, I could probably plop it down anywhere there are pine-trees, so it should be very placement-friendly.

The whole house is essentially a hexagon, with a 5 degree leaning outwards, making it look delicate, and taking up slightly smaller floor-space than if it was completely straight. The angled look will hopefully also make it look more home-made.

All textures, including walls and floor are placeholder. Want it to have a very rough, rustic but warm look.

    Excellent news!

Any idea as to world placement? I'm slowly developing a profile that uses all your available homes as temporary bases for my huntsman/survivalist.

Sounds exciting! I really started to like treehouses ever since I first laid eyes on Limbwood Manor, so I can't wait to see how it turns out!
