About this image

So I often get interrupted by people...You know people that you live with kinda deal.

When your working on something of a very large scale you gotta keep a notepad, in this case its an actual computer NotePad with a whole lot of entries.  A legal pad of actual paper is very handy also for keeping track of where you are at and where is this mod going.

Its probably much the same with any sort of programing or other big project.
Life is full of interruptions and these mods take a whole lot of time so people that think they are going to come into this have to realize that not only do they not know anything but all those life things are going to come pouring out of the wood work to greet you.

Worse yet and Im sure you Artists out there know all about this...Your "not doing anything," so whats the big deal if I interrupt you during a major moment in the creation of your program that and I "didn't know it would cause tens of thousands of peoples computers to crash up so..."

Ya that kinda thing...You have to keep placeholders at regular intervals cause 99% of the worlds population has no real actual concept of what your doing and that is double that in places where computers are glorified word processor machines.

So your likely more interested in an actual report on where the mod is going.

I'll list off some finished stuff.

44 Iron, Steel, Nordplate Armors Chest

44 Guard Armors Chest

10 Fur Armor Chest

6 Hide Armor Chest

Around 20 Iron/Steel/Nordplate boots/gloves/helmet stuff

4 Fur Gloves and Boots

4 Hide Gloves and Boots

2 more Leather Gloves and Boots

ESP Work,
Fully Integrated Iron/Steel/Nordplate...I mean fully integrated into the game.

Fully Integrated Guard Armors

File Propagation
Iron/Steel/Nordplate items are complete

Working On Right Now,
-Finalizing ESP work for full integration of Fur, Hide, Leather

Stuff to Do,
-File Propagation for, Guard, Fur, Hide, Leather, GND/GO

Stuff in the Air
-Creation of GND/GO for Guard, Fur, Hide, Leather

___________________________________________________________

At this point in time the file now offers more Armors than the Base Game plus all DLC.

Its my intention that the next installment addresses some of the other groups of NPC's that the player regularly encounters that wear Armors.

Just checking, but for the guard armors will the base armor of the Whiterun or Windhelm or wherever guards be completely overwritten and no longer visible in the game, or appear alongside the new armor? Not a big fan of the base guard/stormcloak armor myself.

Ok bare with me as you may not be the only person who wants to know and others are going to know far less than you do Sacremas.

      Here it is,

The ESP, the program plug that controls my mod.

Has a Sublist specific to the armor category.
In the case of your question,

The Guard Sublist specific to Whiterun Guards has 7 Armor Listings.
So that is my 5 armors I added AND the 2 original Armors that come with the Base Game.

I also thought of and properly countered the issue where Guard Armors use a Texture Swap Method for handling the color change per region.

      So basically,

Each of the Holds has its own Sublist that I made that then feeds into the Leveled List Proper.

This then produces the desired outcome of having all the mod added armor and all the base game assets.

It also is pretty darn immune to an End User dropping a replacer pack on top of their installation...Meaning they can download whatever they want and install it on top of this...Wont even phase my mod.

Worst Case Scenario....They download a bunch of mods that overwrite the "Game Proper" leveled listings.
So the thing is that they would certainly have to download a whole bunch of different mods to completely remove my stuff.
However, those that dabble in using a lot of mods should be using BASH Patch....
Bash Patch on that scale wont throughput the design I intended but that's the price each end-user pays when modding.

I was ok with that risk, as I don't want fancy scripts running in my overburdened game anyway. I figured the brute force bethsada proper way was the best way to get the items into the game and the heck with the other stuff. Of course my method was a tad more robust than typical or at least really large in scale and concept.

Right now Im at a point where I have to decide on finalizing and starting Volume 2.

Yeah, thanks for taking the time to explain, I knew pretty much all of that but it clarified a few things and I'm sure others don't entirely know how this works. I greatly prefer the leveled list method of getting htings into game rathern than via script, that's how it works in direct Gamebryo games like Fallout 3 and New Vegas, and it's just frankly so much easier on the end user, and gentler on the game.

Plus relating to my exact question, if a user knows some basics about how to work TES5Edit, they can easily remove that vanilla stormcloak/guard armor from the list and leave yours as the only one, though for now I'm going to dig for some possible remodels for that armor instead of just deleting it from either your ESP or (more likely) my Bash Patch. If it was done with script injecting removing vanilla armors or a specific armor I did not like would be a lot harder for more casual users.

All we need really, are male versions to go with them, or at least some kind of mock-design that includes parts of each armor.

    So a Sum,

    104 Chest Armors....

    Around 30-40 Boot,Glove,Helmet stuff

The Base Vanilla game has around 48 actual Armors....

So more than doubled the amount of Armor of the Base Game.

Still higher than all the base stuff put together.

I would have to compare all the armors and clothing before sure ya there is more in the base game.

But it wont be long now...
