Trying to be more rustic with this one, and while I kinda loved the little fat stove, the chimney-pipe looked a little awkward.
This solution is more rustic, looks pretty good, and fits well with a primitive cave-dwelling.
The bed is placeholder right now, but I will probably use something like it. Doing only floating shelves for everything feels a little too modern. It is made from a dark-elf-crate, slightly stretched out (while still looking ok).
The finished version will probably have hay sticking out underneath the mattress, and many spread-out pelts on top of it, with a thick blanket lying across the foot-end. The mattress looks good and rustic, but feels gross to sleep on directly.
Definitely having some problem with light blending, but that's stuff that comes together near the end.

This seems to be a pretty common solution for indoor-fire-places, if Google photos is any indication. Though honestly I just want to find a way to not have to do the chimney, so I don't have to do much landscaping at all.
This cave is ultra-small and can be plopped down just about anywhere. The outside only needs a few square feet tucked away somewhere, for a tiny garden and enough room for a tanning-rack. I have solutions for both these things regardless of climate.
EDIT: Learnt a new word today; flue.
