This look's beautiful, just be careful of the copyright cronies they already destroyed a lord of the rings mod project with cease and desist letters but then there are work around's, middle earth is the historical Saxon name for England so therefore it can not be copyrighted as it is actually an ancient real place and so too shire as there are many shires in England and Scotland, just add a little something before it like Daleshire, indeed JRR took much of his inspiration from Saxon/Nordic mythology and history including the Saxon period of English history.
Some smart alek lawyer though will always think's he can claim ownership of anything, I hope to see this mod reach full release as it does look fantastic.
    Keep up the fantastic work.

I appreciate the concern. Copyright is definitely among one of my top concerns. Making sure this mod is legal is often tedious, but necessary in any case, especially after what happened to MERP. You'll notice that we are "the shire mod" not The Shire mod" because, much like you said, shires were used in reference to parts of England regarded as strongholds of traditional rural culture. However "The Shire" is copyrighted, as are all the names and locations within, which is why we cannot use them. But I was not aware of middle earth, thanks for bringing this to my attention.

I plan on discussing copyright and how it applies to this mod in more detail soon on our TESA board. Until then, thanks again!
