They never kept them full of oil, sometimes the "Official Lamp Lighter" was late due to being drunk, again, and the town watch never went there after dark. Why, you took your life into your very hands every time you had to run a cart of turnips or leeks there if it was anywhere NEAR dusk. And by "near dusk" I mean about an hour after dawn."
