Had been waiting for this and read it after dinner tonight. Worth the wait and full enjoyed the entire story. I was speaking to Nataly on cross over stories and Kavel - as for now I want to keep Kavel in his own world to keep his writing easier. But the downside of that, of course, is you miss that thrill of seeing your characters involved with other writers which is always fun. It makes them all more alive because all of a sudden other people are referencing and talking about them. The main downside is it can be tricky to keep things in sync and the biggest - readers may get confused if they don't follow the other authors. Your approach was good - with the opening summary and links to the other stories. Have to remember that. For now will continue with Grim being a major cross-over character, as I love doing it, and will keep Kavel more isolated until I see how his story goes.

Now this story itself was excellent as it opened up some new things on Phobia and how it is her own fear causing a lot of the problem. I think Sheo is correct though - simply being born into the realm makes you part of the game. That is no ones fault and no way around it. I don't mean to be harsh but I think Sanguine was wrong to hide her. Far better to teach her the game and become a master at it while also offering some protection. Now she is like a new poker player up against major card sharks; she is very out of her depth. Luckily she has some good allies - Phobia, Garm, and Losti. In addition I think Sheo has offered a little help by offering his realm.

Then there are two wild cards. Hircine, who may have adopted an "alpha protecting a cub who is part of his pack" attitude (cubs are expected to be protected until ready to face things on their own) and Sanguine. Sanguine has changed a lot and I think he might come to her defense (especially with Dannee riding his ass about it) as well. So while she could have some very dangerous enemies she does have friends. The problem is - will irrevocable damage be done to who she is before help can arrive?

Enjoyed the insight from Sheo on her issues as well as her own musings. The Midori thing was also very well done. If you don't follow through on your threats ... well then the threats become meaningless bluffs and no one would listen to you. It was the right thing to do IMO. Especially for a Daedra.

Pictures were excellent as was the music - which I listened to the entire thing. I thought it fit very well. Eager for your next chapter and know you are writing it .... :-)

I'm very happy you believe that it was worth the wait hehe ! Well there are pro and cons to cross-over as well as keeping characters to their own restricted world. One of the cons being that you don't get to enjoy seeing those character become involve in someone else story but on the other hand it let you have full control on events and other things. I personally kept my Drekimunr character out of cross-overs just as much as you want to do the same with Kavel. I can totally understand that. ( the Nadja showing up at the reception was just the one in Grim's reality )

Phobia's own fears have caused her alot of suffering and problems..but all that also add to the wheel of emotion of the very person that she wishes to keep safe; Sannedia. Sheogorath is absolutely right to say that she is already involve in the game either Phobia likes it or not..and the best thing she can do is break the silence and reveal herself. I don't think it's harsh to say that Sanguine made a terrible choice by hiding her..if not flat out abandon her ! I think that was a d**k move and he kind of deserve a slap in the face and kick in the butt for it. He would of been far better teaching her..even if he didn't endorse the role of father with her..he could of at least been a mentor to her...and it would of been much better protection for her. I think it's a bit worst then being a new poker player in that game..it'd seems more like she's swimming in a sea of sharks..but she doesn't even know there are sharks in there. She is completely out of her league..and the sad thing is that she doesn't even know it...completely unaware of the real dangers. Thankfully she have good allies to watch over her, Phobia, Garm and Losti. Sheo seem to appreciate Sandy's creativity to the very least and he does care some for Phobia as well..offering his realm as somewhat of a sancturary for the little mischievous Sandy.

The very interesting wild cards, though I think there might be a third wild card in the deck. Hircine perhaps sees Sandy as little cub being part of his pack..and as you said, cubs need protecting until they are ready to face the world on their own..and lets face it, Sandy is all but ready for that. Sanguine sure have changed alot with his time spent with Dannee and I don't think he's THAT heartless to not come to her defense ( Not that I think Dannee would leave him alone until he did something lol !) Then that third card that I will keep somewhat of a mystery ;-) . Indeed...one problem being - Will help come in time or damage will be dealt before they do? ..and lets not forget that Sandy is quite the emotive little one and very much react like a child or a teenager ( well she IS a child afterall)

Glad you enjoyed this part ! Midori had it coming, Phobia warned her to leave Selina alone and she didn't...so she followed up on the threat and I think that Midori found out that Phobia is very serious when she makes threats...she doesn't make them lightly..and she does get violent when her dear ones are in danger.

Not many picture in this part..was a little more text heavy. Next part will have more pictures i think but still might be on the text heavy side. Took me a little bit to find the right song for this part..almost didn't put any. Are you spying on me again? lol....Yes i'm already working on part 2 ;-) not sure i'll have it completed for the weekend though. Better saddle up for some mushy stuff !

Merci beaucoup !!

Very interesting and wonderfully written chapter about Phobia! looks like recent events made her very contemplative and even a bit melancholic too. It was cool to see call backs to tales of Grim where Phobia has faced a challenge of protecting lads from Despair's aura and then a tale about Selina and her one crazy exploit against Despair!

Phobia was very harsh and swift in her pay back to Midori... it was in Dementia style and Phobia lives to her reputation of being Fear Weaver! I think other Daedra will think twice before hurting Selina who apparently reminds Phobia of Sannedia by her curiosity and hair color.

Phobia talk with her Prince was very intriguing and hopefully it was enough for her to step over her own fears and reveal herself to adorable Sandy whom I doubt will hold grudge... especially if she knew that Phobia sacrificed her sanity for hers. I wonder what Phobia might tell Sandy about her father although like you have said her ignoring him two hundred years speak for itself!

Prince of Madness words about Sandy indeed sounded ominous in a way, because he knows better then anyone of how kids of Princes can be used in Great Game and how it might affect Princes (like in Malacath tale of Accords of Madness series). And he is right... Sandy was involved in it even before her birth and the best course of actions seems revealing to her and protecting her from schemes of other Princes. Sandy might be happy on the Isles, although for some reason I can't see her staying there for long!
I would look forward for continuation and thank you for sharing your wonderful work!

Thank you sweetie ! Recent event left Phobia quite contemplative and melancholic amongst other things. Had to make of a little overview on what she had been up to as of late, helping the lads against Despair's aura...the whole sordid afair with Selina trying herself against Despair ! Poor Phobia thinking everyone going nuts or suicidal !

Phobia isn't sane even if she looks the part and she is a denizen of Dementia as well. She had warned Midori what would happen if she bothered Selina again..and Phobia is a Daedra of her word...hence the swift retaliation against Midori. I think the message might had come across to other who might think of bothering Selina..She sure act very much like a mama bear !

Hopefully it was enough for Phobia to take a step into the direction of revealing herself to little Sandy. I don't think Sandy would be able to hold a grudge for very long knowing all Phobia gave up for her as well as the fact that she always had been watching over her. I don't know if Phobia would even tell Sandy anything about her Father...her ignoring him and avoiding him for 200 years speak for itself where she stands via of him.

His words sound very ominousm he sure knows how to use a Prince offspring in the great game and how that might affect the concerned prince, given what he did to Malacath. Indeed, Sandy was involved before she was even born..and the best course of action to take would be to reveal herself..so she can really protect her..but always give Sandy a bit more awareness on some of the dangers that for now is completely unaware of. I'm sure she'd be quite happy on the isles but she's not really one to can stay at one place for too long..beside she would miss her best buddy Garm and big Brother too much !

Heh heh! Midori had it coming!! I don't think Selina will shed many tears though.
So it seems Sheo's little nudge may be enough for Phobia to reveal herself. I wonder when and where that might happen. And for some reason I hope Garm will be present in case anything goes wrong.
    Can't wait!!
But then this may open a world of new dangers for Sandy, even within the (safety?) of Sheo's domain.
Hmmm...will Phobia answer who her Father is? If so would Sandy seek him out? Or even Phobia? How would Dannee or even Sofie react? Never really thought about it but Sandy and Sofie are Sisters!!!!
Oh this could open up all kinds of events!!!
    Love this!!!! Fantastic work hon!

Midori sure had it coming ! Specially after being warned that it would happen if she bothered Selina again. I also doubt very much Selina will be shedding much tears over Midori lol. Seem like Sheo's nudge might of been enough to push Phobia to reveal herself to Sannedia. Sure would be great for Garm to be around during that...but we'll see if he will be !..in part 2 !

Well it won't be much new "danger" more like..danger she'd finally become aware of. Though I think she'd be more safe in the Shivering Isles with Phobia then she would be in some other realms of Oblivion....lets not forget that Selina also dwell in the Isles...perhaps Sandy would also have an other protector in the face of Selina.
Who knows if Phobia will be willing to answer who Sandy's father is...or perhaps Sandy will not be bothered to ask such question and will simple appreciate the fact that she now has a mother? Little Sannedia can be quite simplistic at times. Phobia avoided Sanguine for 200 years...I think that speaks volume in it's own. I think it'd be quite an interesting meeting...but Dannee is aware of Sannedia's existance and that she is Sam's love child. And yes...Sofie and Sandy are indeed sisters ! well step sisters to be technical.

Oh..stay tune because there's alot of stuff that is gonna be happening in the upcoming chapters.

      Thank you dear !

Wow, can't believe Phobia's punishment inflicted on Midori (not that she didn't deserve it) but whoa, extreme! Then again, I spose lesser Daedra can probably magic up or grow a new appendage in time? Very interesting that in her conversation with Sheo, Phobia acknowledges that she's not immune from her own realm and when it comes to Sandy she's all about internal fear; fear of the girl being hurt... or worse.

I do get an ominous sense though when Sheo asked her how far she'd go for Sandy... I hope it was just casual banter but despite him being so close with Selina, I just don't trust him...

Well..Phobia isn't exactly sane either..even if she looks the part. She have those very extreme moment when someone messes with someone she hold dear. Oh Midori will survive that...and will grow a new tongue in time..but I think she may think twice before using it..less she have other organs to grow back next time.

The conversation with Sheogorath sure gave me a lot of trouble to write. Never sounded right at first. But it was meant for her to admit why exactly she have remained silent and not revealed herself to Sannedia. Fear. She's a mother..so she constantly fear for her child. But the conversation was also about giving that push in the right direction to break that cycle of torment and silence both Phobia and Sannedia are stuck in.

It does have an ominous sense to it...but all I can say is that it won't be from Sheo. Him bringing that up was more of a casual reminded of Phobia own word as to how far she would go for Sandy. He is as close to Selina as he is Phobia..one appealing to his lighter side while the other to his darker side. But he would not deliberately harm or make them miserable. There is one person that would love to see Phobia miserable..and she shall not be named...not yet
