   Looks decent, might want to mess with the chin and mouth to make them look less blocky and angular (although that could also just be the head mesh you're using)

      This was done with the vanilla character creation, what meshes do you recommend?

      I use RaceMenu v1.5 to generate a custom head with each new character (it has enough options to essentially sculpt your own headmesh).
      
      Alternatively, you could try a simpler solution like a replacement headmesh from this variant pack, I suggest Type A: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/7127/?
      
      There are also tons of custom races with their own head meshes, and at least one overhaul I can think of (Ethereal Elven Overhaul). I recommend trying out a few different things until you find what works best for you.
