Charming, cunning and ambitious, Moiraine is a descendant of Queen Elysana, the once-feared monarch of Wayrest in western High Rock. True to her ancestor’s reputation, she has transformed herself into a brilliant participant in High Rock’s court politics, driven by her desire to outmaneuver her half-siblings in the political arena, lest they threaten her survival or become a mere tool for their schemes to gain their hold to Highrock’s leadership. She hides her shrewdness behind siren smiles and a maidenly grace, the indication of steel that lay behind her silken exterior. Lady Moiraine is definitely is not a song of one note, however. She alternates the means by which she gets things done, for fear that she becomes too predictable. Sometimes, she’s as subtle as a thin layer of dust. Other times, she’s as direct as an avalanche. 

The arrayed political might of her siblings and their foiled assassination attempts have caused Moiraine to escape from High Rock and flee east towards Skyrim for fear of her life. Moiraine is determined in her conquest to thwart the unholy plans of her siblings, and reclaim her rightful place in High Rock.

Moiraine is most accomplished in the schools of Destruction, Conjuration, and Restoration, and she is also skilled in Enchanting and Alchemy. She continues her magical studies at the College of Winterhold.
